Re: Won't read Dvd/Cd as loaded
It is a problem of the optical head being covered up by foreign particles obscuring the optical lens. Try using a CD/DVD cleaner disc which has double brushes and one add some solvent which comes along with the pack.Simply play it & keep ejecting and inserting the disc makes the disc to spin, till your player starts reading it..............................sodeep

hello there soenensistva Well first of all Compact discs are easy to be read by a DVD player then ordinary Cd player cause of their lens are made for more compressed Data discs..there for try some of the options
1. make sure that the disc Surface is Clean and don't have finger prints or any other material that is disturbing the the read process between the CD and lens present inside CD player
2.if your CD is precious for you ( that consist some important Data you may need ) then try a DVD player for that
3.if both things doesn't work try a cleaning Cd for Cleaning the Head of CD player .
i wish that your problem may be solved Best Regards
Put a video CD and see whether it reads and plays. If it also does not plays, or if video CD only plays and not DVD; in both cases; the Laser Pickup Unit is faulty and should be replaced with same type and number. OK.
All DVD players use a dual laser pick up. One laser is for CD/VCD/MP3 and the other laser is only for DVD. If you have watched more DVD and less CD's you could be having a problem with the DVD laser. Must have become week and the system cannot read the disk. Change of the lens unit will solve your problem.
Hello, This DVD player unfortunately does not support most of the Copied DVD /CDs. it works stemless with only genuine / original CD and DVDs.. If your DVD or CD originally recorded by manufacturers but still can not read , than I recommend you to obtain and apply it to clean your laser eye of the DVD player.
The second problem is related with factory locked multizone feature.. on the rear of the player will be a region code plate with a picture of a globe and a number next to it.If you DVD disc does not have the same ZONE number ,it wont work. But in order to convert your DVD to a multizone you need to make some additional adjustment. Hope it will solve your problem.otherwise ask me to give you more on unlocking multizone feature. Please remember to vote me too.. Regards
Compatible disc formats: DVD, CD, CDR, CDRW, Video CD
Some models of PIONEER cd players had radio frequency problems that caused them to work on and off. Are you near any radio or braodcast towers? Poorly shielded power supplies cause this as well. A weak laser diode in the pick-up assembly in model runs could be the problem. You might want to Google the model number and see if this is common for these units.
