With XP you should be able to simply open up the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
Under "My Computer" you should see a "Removable Disk".
Double Click on it, and then your should see "DCIM", double click on that and then you will see "100PENTX".
Double click on "100PENTX" and you will see all your pictures.
You can then copy those pictures to anywhere on your computer.
If this does not work for you, you can always use a card reader to download your pictures. Many later model computers have built-in SD card readers. If your computer does not have a slot for an SD card you can purchase a card reader, usually for under $20, at most major computer/electronics equipment retailers.

SOURCE: i cant charge my camera
In order to save size and weight, the camera does not include charging circuitry, leaving it in the cradle. This makes the camera smaller and lighter, at the expense of requiring a larger and heavier cradle.
Like most things in the world, the design was a compromise. Unfortunately, in this case it means that you can't charge the camera from a computer.

Sometimes if the battery charge has gone below the threshold level then it will not charge the battery , So if you are able to JUMP start using an external charger from a bench power supply , it will take up the voltage and regain the level.
Once this is done reset battery and connect charger to charge. once charged, switch on and tap lightly to reset the lens mechanism that is struck up. Sometimes the lens can be pulled out with the hand while powering as it will free the mechanism. Blow some jet air to clear the lens gaps and free the movement.

The Kidizoom uses four standard AA batteries. You may use disposable alkalines or rechargeables. If you choose to use rechargeables, you much charge them using a separate charger. The Kidizoom is not a battery charger.
