unfortunately it isnt the settings on the switch, because for each speed it has a proportionately faster rate. like a 45 is playing a little bit faster, say 10%, but when i go to the 35 setting, its the same 10% faster.. (btw im making up the numbers because i havent timed the rotations yet)i feel like it could be the belt is stretch a little, or the motor is doing something it isnt supposed to. i will definitely try and find a repair shop in the meantime.
    thank you

LOL, The Chipmunks rock!..j/k

Sounds your player isn't reconizing your settings, therefore the switch that controls them could be shot.

Firstly consult the troubleshooting section of your manual

If you have have no manual to reference, check this site for a downloadable one.

If still no, then visit the Teac home page and follow the support/troubleshooting/customer service links there.

There also you will find listings for any authorized repair shops in your area where you can have it looked at and a new switch installed, should that indeed be the issue.

Conversely to that, call the toll free number you will find in your manual or on their website for assistance.

Wishing you luck and... no more Chipmunks...

Can't hear playback. Windows Vista - Playback device says usb Audio Codec

here is what ION is telling people (short version) this is for vista or win7

1. Visit www.ionaudio.com/ezvc to download the latest EZ Converter software.
2. install new software if needed,
3. connect ION Audio USB. make sure its ON (if it has a switch)

Setup Procedure
1. Start then Control Panel.
2. double-click Hardware and Sound.
3. double-click Sound.
4. At top select Playback tab. choose the audio output device.
Don’t chose “speakers-usb audio codec” (that’s your ION) don’t chose modem
5. click Set Default.
6. select Recording tab at top of Sound Control Panel. choose "Microphone – USB Audio Codec" as the default device. (that’s the ION)
7. Click Set Default.
8. click Properties. select Advanced tab
9. set the Default Format setting to 2-channel, 16 bit 44100 Hz (CD Quality).
10. Un-check the two boxes under Exclusive Mode. Click Apply
11. select Levels tab from the top of the Sound Control Panel.
12. Set the level slider to 4. Click Apply, click OK to close the window.

Have everything set up and running, if you have to call this number for help.

Teac turntable plays too fast

This sounds like a motor speed control problem. It could be either the motor itself or an electronic fault. So unless you know a bit about electronics and know how to use a soldering iron etc, then the answer to your question is no.

Tonearm Weight, Good Replacement Stylus, Gain level

Most good turntables will track with weights between 1.25 and 1.5 grams. Any more than that and you are putting alot of pressure on the needle. Experiment a bit and make sure that the needle tracks well and that the sound is good. The less weight you use, the longer the needle will last and the less wear on the record.

Panasonic automatic turntable model sl-hm42

I'm having a similar issue - except my panasonic sl-hm42 platter is moving too slow on 33 1/3 settings (don't have any 45's to try). It's a DC model, so I would think there would be some kind of pitch control settings or screws somewhere on it but I can't seem to find them.
Does anyone know if it's possible to adjust the pitch on this model turntable? Thank you!

I have a Denon 300f that works fine but run a bit fast so the music sounds really off...anything I can do to slow it down?

I was putting the belt around the wrong part...it needed to go on the bottom of the turntable itself then be attached to the belt drive.

My tunrtable spins backwards :S

these motors are quite cheap. You can open it up yourself and see if any resistors are burned up. If not, contact numark parts dept and order new motor. quite easy to install.
