SONY DAV-S300 problem - HELP!

I've got very dissapointed when I found out that my Sony DAV-S300 doesn't
play
CD-R-s. Then I read that this is an unpleasant "feature" of that model.
Browsing the customer reviews on pricegrabber.com I read that there are some
specific CD-R's that are being played on it (there was a guy from Singapore
talking about some taiwanese CD-R's which seems are hard to be found in the
US). Does anybody know a brand which can be played on this player? Your help
will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Blimey, has there been a newsgroup you haven't posted this to. I have seen
this in about 5 different newsgroups so far.
The only confirmed brand that works in Sony DVD players is Princo, and they
are not currently in manufacture.
CDRW do work and appear to work regardless of brand.

If you want Princo's order some from here in Australia. What with your good
exchange rate at the moment:-
Princo CD-ROM (CD-R) Blank 74 Min 10 Pack- slim line from Harris Tech costs
6GBP.
and
Princo 74min/650mb Silver/blue CDR Spindle 50 Pack costs 25GBP.
www.ht.com.au are as good as anywhere.
Not sure about shipping.
