Sounds like its overheating.Make sure the fans aren't covered up or it has enough clearance for airflow.

I am replacing my Toshiba Satellite A35-S159 hard drive with a scorpio blue. the new HD is installed. when i turn on the laptop i get a flashing message. "pxe-e61 : media test failure, check cable pxe-m0f:...

In the BIOS, look in the boot options and take the "other devices" or "other" out of the boot sequence. Also check to see if boot from LAN is enabled. If it is, disable it. PXE is a protocol that will enable you to boot from a network drive or server. When it says that it failed, it is because it could not find an OS on the network

Check to see if the CPU fan/cooler is clogged or not working. Laptop could be shutting down to keep the chip from frying.

Satellite A35-S159 LCD Problem

Hi,

I don't think the LCD inverter is the problem. This part only powers the light of your LCD. I think the electronics on the back of the LCD is bad. You have to replace your LCD to fix this problem. Take a look on eBay for a affordable replacement.

Automatic Shutdown

Sounds like your fan may be clogged up. I suggest you consult the documentation on how to remove the laptop cover and then clean the fan out. You will be surprised at all the crap in it.

Good luck.

Toshiba A35-S159 Recovery and Applications/Drivers DVD

If what you really need is the recovery disk, you can call Toshiba for it but if you only need the drivers, you can go to support.toshiba.com or pcsupport.toshiba.com. For the graphics driver, if you know that you have intel chipsets, you can go to intel.com/support/chipsets  -  there please select your chipset family then click on the "download" under graphics for your
specific chipset then please select your operating system. Please restart your laptop after the download
and see if it works. Thank you.
