Question about GE Profile Spectra JGBP90 Gas Kitchen Range
I went to use the self cleaning mode on my oven and stupidly opened the door seconds after starting it and now the locked door is on and wont do anything else. I have unpluged the oven and reset the circuit breakers and still it says "LOCKED DOOR". I have cleared and even tried to go through the cleaning cycle and it will not do anything. Please please please HELP!!!!! My husband is going to flip!
Amazing. I've searched across the web, and this "locked door" problem appears to be a DESIGN FLAW across the entire product line: if you run the self-cleaning cycle, it WILL trigger this problem and despite the suggestion of a wide range of "self-help" strategies, the only real solution is to pay for a service call (and then, it appears, paying for a new control unit and probably an additional service call to have it installed, and then more service calls if the same problem occurs). We have a JGB900BEF2BB GE Profile range, and of course we've run through all the self-help suggestions at geappliances.com and on a dozen other web sites like this one.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

self cleaning ovens use super hot seting to bake the oven clean and it sounds like it melted a wire and it is shorting out the oven on that setting. look at the wires you can see or easy to remove panels

OK, I have the same problem with my oven heating even though it's turned off. This started after normal use, not the self-clean. My model is a GE JKP56BD1BB double oven built-in range. Only the bottom oven heats, the bottom oven is off.
I have replaced the oven control (and yes it is expensive) and the top oven continues to heat continuously.
What's next? These parts are expensive.

Unplug the range and try to reset breaker. If it holds, you have a shorted element or some kind of fault in the range. If it won't hold in, change breaker
