Um well you dont have to get a new one you can just get it repaired, if it broke unexpectedly and it has a warranty bring it back to the store you bought it from and you can get a new one for free or from the manufacturer which is nintendo.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS touch screen not working properly

Turn the ds on without a game in it and go to the settings icon (looks like a tiny ds) on the bottom middle of the screen then go to the far right yellow icon and it will re-calibrate the touch screen and let you know if calibration was a success.

Hi , my son's nintendo ds lite touch screen became unresponsive during game play. Now it doesn't respond at all. All other components of the console still working. Can you please help us????? Cheers,

It sounds like the touch module is broken. If you call up Nintendo support and tell them your problem they might replace it for free if you have had it for less than a year. If not then you can either get Nintendo to repair it for a fee or you can find replacement screens online and do it yourself.

My son spilled a drink and got his nintendo DS wet , it all works but the bottom touch screen. How do I fix it?

Hello!

You will most likely need a new DS touchscreen.

I recommend that you clean the DS immediately. Even though its working now, the liquid could still damage components overtime if not cleaned immediately

Ds lite dropped while open, touchscreen now white.

With white screens it usually the LCD that went out, since D.S. do not have a reset button, the only way to reset it to Factory settings would be to remove that battery, and you would need to remove the little screws on the back. I would leave that last. However if you guys have had this DS for less than a year i would contact Nintendo, or go to the website
because you would still be under the one year Manufactures warranty. I would highly recommend to not state it was dropped. Just that the screen went blank all of a sudden. Touch screen works fine. Make sure there is no physical damage though, as that usually voids warranty. I had to do that for my Wii. No cost to me since under one year. If its been longer then the year then you could do the hard reset by removing the batter for a few mins.
Good Luck!

Best if you call Nintendo to fix it,though I think they might charge you money and I'm not really sure whats the amount.but its best to just call nintendo than to buy another one.

Ds touch screen

Two choices. One: If your console still has a warranty, then send it in to Nintendo for repair. Two: Search Ebay or another website for replacement touch screens, and buy one. Open up the console, amd replace the faulty touch screen with the brand new touch screen. Then put the console back together.
