Question about Avaya PARTNER Voice Messaging 3.0 Full Version

I have a Avaya 700420011-LN Parnter 18D Telephone (Series 2). We only have 2 phones in the office. I am unable to log on to one,I choose extension 15#, 1234# and it says "Log in incorrect". I have read the manual about reinitializing the password,but I can't even get into the system as my password is incorrect. The guy I bought the system said the passwords were all the presert factory ones of 1234. Can you help?

If you have a manual, and yes default is 1234 and if that is not working, then someone changed it and didn't tell you. In most cases you will need the current password to change it to a new password. Look in the manual to see if it says anything about resetting the entire phone. You can try unplugging it for 8 hours, then hit power button, wait 30 minutes, plug back in to see if it resets the phone.

Perform the following steps for each 1400 Series Digital Deskphone:
1. Log into the Avaya Aura Communication Manager administration interface.
2. Perform one of the following steps:
? If you are adding a new extension and want to assign a specific extension number, use

I need to assign an extension to an AVAYA 18d Handset phone with the alpha and numeric designations.


I'm guessing if the IP Office instructions don't work for your 18D, try the ACS instructions. 0x gives you numbers.

How do i change the time on my avaya 18d series 2 partner phone


Partner ACS, any release
Changing the time on a Partner system must be done from extension # 10 or 11. 1. At station(Ext.10 or 11) press feature, 0, 0
2. Press the left intercom 2 times
3. Enter # 103
4. Enter the correct time in 24 hr. format, for example:
* to set the time for 09:00 A.M., enter 0900
* to set the time for 04:45 P.M., enter 1645
5. Press feature, 0, 0

Phone static on the partner 18d


Is it on the same line? What about when you call other extensions, is there static?

If it is a line, swap that line and another. If you have static on the same line port, then it is a port problem of the system. If it follows the dialtone, the line from the phone company is the problem.

Avaya 18D unable to make outgoing calls


Sounds like you changed your line selection. Changing line selection on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

enter **
press the lit line in the order you want the to be used, i.e. line 2 then line 3 then line 4 etc.
enter ** when finished with line selection

Press feature "00" to logout

The programming is stored in the control unit. Is the control unit also new?

The system needs to be reset. But, that is something that will need quite a few step by step procedures,
