In the menu, find antenna/cable. Locate cable and program from there.

I hook my antenna to the back and I'm not receiving a picture

Hi,

I'm assuming your Antenna is connected to your TV with a co-axial cable? If so, please make sure you have run the Analogue/Antenna/Air channel scan correctly:

1. Switch the TV on
2. Press the "MENU" button on the Curtis remote supplied with the TV.
3. Press the RIGHT arrow button five times to highlight the "Channel" menu
4. Press the "ENTER" button or the DOWN arrow once to open the "Channel" menu

The Air/Cable option should be highlighted.

5. Use the LEFT/RIGHT arrow buttons to set the "Air/Cable" option to "Air"
6. Press the DOWN arrow to highlight "Auto Scan"
7. Press the "ENTER" button or the RIGHT arrow once to start the automatic channel scan.

When the scan has finished, the TV should automatically return to viewing mode. If not, just press the "EXIT" or "MENU" button on the remote to close the menu.

You also need to make sure the correct INPUT/SOURCE is selected on the TV:

1. Press the "SOURCE" button on the Curtis remote
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight "TV" in the INPUT SOURCE menu
3. Press the "ENTER" button on the remote to select "TV" and close the INPUT SOURCE menu.

This should be all you need to do to watch your TV from an antenna source.

Please post back if you are still unable to get it to work and need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I just got cable hooked up and I'm trying to watch tv on an older Orion tv/vhs. When I go to menu options I can go to all of them except the channel set. I know the cable connection works because I hooked...

Try switching between Cable and TV on your menu. Or you can insert a VSH and when you eject it, you should be able to bring up menu and do a reset.
Make sure the cables into and out from are in the correct positions, as a cable signal go to the output will not work.
I'm sure you have checked the connections in and out but just needed to make sure !
Do you have a remote for the Orion, without the remote, you may not have the correct functions available to function properly.

I have a 13' Orion tv, model #TV1326BW with rabbit ear antenna. I have connected everything correctly to the converter box for digital signals. I can pick up all stations except the local CBS affliciate....

I have the same TV & cannot get into the TV menu to program the cable... it was bought secondhand without the original remote. There are no buttons anywhere on the TV itself to bring up the menu & the universal remote's menu option doesn't do it, either... how do I set the channels?

For your Sony remote, the Orion codes are 082 and 087.....

RCA codes are 030, 035, 191

Or use search mode ( complicated )

Or www.mrremotecontrol.com............

if you dont already have the remote set up then find the codes and t it up. the remote should have a button that says either tv/video or input. depending on the tv it should take you to a few channels through this button. look for either input 1 or 2, or even GAME. these should be the channels it will play on.

Orion tv model 1934 only 3, 4 and aux no pic or sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turn the set on, hook the cable directly to the TV, take the remote control and press 1 - 1 and if the TV tunes in channel 11 then your set is fine. If the TV was autoprogrammed when hooked to a cable box then the only channels that will be stored in memory are 3, maybe 4 and AUX. To correct this simply go back into the menu and look for the "autoprogram" option and perform the autoprogram while the cable is directly connected to the TV, without a cable box.
