You may, but it would probably get you fired, if you check your license agreement and/or terms of employment. Just because their security methods are cheesy and arbitrary doesn't mean they can't catch you and fire you for circumventing them. An HTTP tunnel with a portable version of Firefox running off a flash drive is one way. The firewall can see the encrypted traffic, but they don't know what's in it. If they are already using tunnels for secure traffic it might not set off alarms, but if they see a tunnel all by itself, they'll freak out and trace it right back to your work computer's IP address. A cgi proxy would be better, but most of the public ones get blocked, even before sites like Facebook. You could also run a cgi proxy server from a remote location, but they can still trace that traffic and figure it out.

Many times, they can't bother with individual breaches or maybe they don't have the resources to run individual anomalous traffic to ground. This is primarily why they do this arbitrary blocking. It's a shotgun solution designed to reduce their network overhead and reduce, but not eliminate, a threat vector for malicious software.

It's ham-fisted and ignorant, because it goes too far on the side of limiting their own users and not far enough on the side of network security. Every time a web resource gets good enough to gain widespread popularity, it's going to get blocked in this model. Of course it's part of a larger "comprehensive strategy", but the bottom line is that they don't care enough to look for ways to shore up their capability and security by other methods to accommodate their user's desires.

You and your coworkers need to complain loudly and don't let them off the hook.

I try so mannytimes to get into facebook but nothing happened ihave so many questions to answer why?

If you are trying to do this at your place of employment it may be network blocked.most people don't really know this but a simple work around is to go to google translate. Type the Facebook URL into the first panel and call it any language except English.then translate the second panel to English then click on the answer in second panel.even though the answer is still the Facebook URL it will throw the signin page because google translate acts like a proxy server and bypasses any blocks.this usually works for most blocked urls.another way is to change the location from .com to .au or .de as this again gets overlooked by those trying to block the address to the country ampersand that you reside in, so if you are in the uk just change the co.uk to Australia .au.

Facebook is blocked and i want to get on my acount

Are you using Internet access supplied by your school? or, by your employer?
If so, then they are entitled to block such "time-wasting" web-sites.

Talk to your local wireless mobile telephone company.
Some of them sell a USB device that carries your Internet traffic over their wireless network,
thus circumventing your current network connection, and circumventing their restrictions.

Of course, there's a monthly fee for using that USB device.

Facebook website blocked

Facebook was down earlier with a 404 Error, however it is back up now.

If facebook is blocked by a school or employer, you will have to use a proxy such as proxy.org to get around the filter.

How to unblock youtube

Stop using your employer (or your school) computer, and use your own computer, to work-around the "policy" of your employer/school that blocks such "time-wasting" sites, such as FaceBook and YouTube.

My employer blocked facebook, how do i unblock it?

If your Employer blocked this site and you do happen to figure out how to get around it, you could get in serious trouble and they will find out. There are ways, such as using Firefox as your browser but in my opinion, it's not worth termination.

Look into http://www.acevpn.com/ for $5 per month. I would caution accessing Social Networking and File Sharing sites once they are banned by employers, and attempting to find a workaround and accessing them anyways can be grounds for dismissal.
  1. One plan and one low fixed price - $5. The same VPN account works on all the supported platforms and devices. We support OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP
  2. Connect to any VPN gateway servers on our network at no extra cost. We currently have servers in USA and Europe (France, Germany, Netherlands, UK). More servers being added in different countries
  3. Allows access to banned, blocked and censored websites, applications and services. Use VOIP, SIP adapters, Skype, Google Voice, instant messengers like Yahoo, MSN / Windows Live, Google Talk, etc., social networking like MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc., dating or adult sites even if blocked by your Country, ISP, University or Corporate firewall
  4. 100% anonymous, secure and private. Surf the Net without leaving a trace even on public unsecured Wi-Fi / hotpots
  5. Protects your privacy from behavioral ads and data mining websites like Google Ads, Quantcast. Prevent Identity theft
