Please look in the device manager under Network Adapters, there you will find the Network card with an yellow exclamation. Right click on it and click update drivers. Select the option to install drivers manually. select the path where you have the drivers.

If you do not have the drivers search for the same with google by mentioning the model name and number of your Wireless card

If you find any problem please let me know

You need to download the broadcom software from another computer on a sd card or memory stick. Then install on the newly formatted computer. Unless you have the disk for the network.
Do you have backup discs? The software could be on those as well....remember to always backup data.

You have to have the driver on a CD, and then go to add hardware (in the control panel) and the LAN card should show up, Click to install the LAN card, and the computer should find the driver on the CD

Asus P5N-MX LAN

hello,
did check on the support website of you mother board and it does not have any LAN drive for any of the operating system under the list, so most likely the LAN driver should be detected by windows automatically, so if windows does not recognize the device, maybe the windows is corrupted and you need to do reinstalling, or hope not but may be the hardware it self is having a problem, so you need to get another LAN device like PCI cards.. ASUS support website "http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx"
Cheers

LAN problems

Hi
Try to reinstall the driver software and do a system restart as well which makes sure that the OS recognizes the LAN. If this does not work then try downloading the latest realtek LAN software for Win 7 from the below link:

Can't WinXP find appropriate driver for your lan card? If Asus did not provide a driver for its built-in lan, i think windows XP already has the driver built in its cache. try to install it using the wiz.

XP does not recognize the Intel wireless network adapter

Dell has a known problem with driver conflic the best remedy is to right click on my computer click on property open hardware uninstall the driver there and restart the conputer but first make sure you download the driver from intel and burn them on a cd then when you reinstall you won't have to try to figure out if everything is downloading also in security make sure that you allow this site so that all the drivers download.
but most of the time if these driver are on a card that is micrsoft certified it will be in the driver file and will reload automaticly when you restart the computer after uninstalling and it should elimenate the driver conflic.

I reloaded windows into my Acer extensa 2300 type laptop and now it does not recognize the lan. I cannot use broadband as a result.

Hello
I think your broadcom network card dont have a driver.

Go here and download the broadcom driver for your network card. then install it.
if you have reinstalled your XP you need to reinstall all the drivers.

Lan card

Use a different PCI slot and reinstall the drivers for your LAN card. If this does not fix the problem there may be a compatibility issue between the network card and some other software (eg. irq conflict etc.), or the LAn card may be slightly faulty and have problems on some motherboard.
In this case you can try troubleshooting the problem.
If you cannot find out the problem at a glance, checking in device properties, you may be forced to reinstall Windows. In this case I suggest to just replace the part. The Ethernet (LAN) pci card is quite an inexpensive part, and you can still use this one on a different computer.

If you are unable to resolve the problem with your intergrated lancard then you can add additional LAN CARD on your computer or you can also buy USB to LAN CARD adapter.
