My washing machine stopped working in mid-cycle. No agitation is going on and I could not drain it but putting to spin.

Make sure the washer fills with cold water from the beginning of the cycle because most washers have a cold only rinse cycle and if your cold water valve is bad then the machine will stop mid cycle because it cannot fill the washer for the rinse cycle. Secondly, it helps to know which washer you have so please enter more info next time you ask a question. Good luck.

The LE error code keeps flashing why?

LE means level error. The water fill timer timed out before there was enough water in the machine to clean the clothes. Try this:
  1. Turn the hot and cold water supply taps, located at the end of the fill hoses, as far as they will go toward the "Open" position.
  2. Move the washing machine away from the wall, and examine the hot and cold water pipes for kinks, twists or other obstructions.
  3. Unscrew the fill hoses at the washing machine, and inspect the small plastic screens inside for signs of an obstruction.
  4. Check the water pressure in your home; a reading lower than 30 psi might cause the fill times to extend beyond the time the washing machine is programmed to wait. Slow flowing faucets and shower heads are a sign of low water pressure.
  5. Call for service.

WFL 2260 Fills hot, fills cold, no wash action, move control to drain, empties, move control to spin, no spin but goes thro. cycle ends program door unlatches, any suggestions?

Motor brushes, worse case scenario motor complete. Run the following motor test.
1. Put main dial to off
2. Press and hold start button whilst turning dial one click to left (easycare 30).
3. When display show 8.88 or two of the progress light come on, release the start button
4. Turn dial anticlockwise to 60 cotton (take the long way, NOT thru OFF or you'll have to start over)
5. Press start

6. Motor should rotate in both directions, pump runs, motor kicks up to full spin.
7. No motor action and two lights flashing on progress lights (separated by a light that's not on) indicates a motor fault.
As suggested brushes or complete motor.
Hope this helps

My washing machine Whirlpool AWM049 has just developed a fault. Whatever program it is set to the dial turns, then when the dial reaches the position where it is supposed to fill with water it just stops....

I have the same problem. The dial does not start on the setting you set it to. It just clicks around then stops. I called out an engineer who said he thinks it is the control panel panel board. Didn't know if he could get the part which would be expensive. I was hoping someone would have the answer.

Kenmore Heavy Duty Series 70 washing machine gets stuck in cycle.

Either your timing motor has broken or the gears that it drives are stripped. The timing motor is easy to replace but if the gears are stripped you will need a whole new dial assembly.

My washing machine is working but it will fill and wash the clothes but wont move on to the next part of the cycle except if I manually move the dial. What could be the problem?

The timer motor is bad. Depending on how old the machine is it may not be available. Being it has a dial kinda dates it. They're all electronic now.

Loud spin, doesn't fill, dial doesn't move.

yes you do have to remove the top off the washer and the washer should come with a mounting kit that must be used when stacking this unit. as far as your filling and draining problem i have had this problem several times before you have to replace your speed control board or sometimes called the speed control unit in the lower right hand corner of your washer
