I am getting only a few street names showing up on the display (Garmin Nuvi 680). This changed recently. Any ideas or comments?

Go into the menu that shows the lips and select a TTS voice (text to Speech) like, Jill or Jack.

Sometimes it will not all the streets, especially main streets, unless is zoomed in, try the zoom feature in and out, or three 3 d or 2 d feature.

Select "Where to", then "Address" then press "Spell State". Type in the state that you want, then the city name, house number and street name.

Make sure the Voice you select (Tools -> Settings-> Language-> Voice) has (TTS) after its name (TTS = Text To Speech).

To activate the voice prompts, go to 1. Tools, 2. Settings, 3. Language, 4. Voice Language Option, 5 Select a Voice Option that includes a persons Name, eg Jack or TTS, Select OK and that should resolve your problem.

Try settings; language and select one that says TTS,

I have the Nuvi 200, and the voice does not tell you street names. It just says right or left.

I had the same problem. Sometimes the voice would start to speak and then cut off after a few sounds. I was still under warranty so Garmin replaced it (I think with a rebuilt I am now having display problems with).

Before I contacted them I tried software updates and resets and changing voices--alas it had to go back to the factory.
