Question about Balance CM2019 19" LCD Monitor

2 Answers

Does not power on, makes clicking sound, power light goes off and on. Sometimes it will come on and work perfectly but most times it just clicks and the screen remains blank. Swapped power converter box with another exact same model that works and it made no difference.

Srb111000, If unit won't work with substitute "black brick" power supply, then the problem will be inside of monitor! Most likely a failed INVERTER circuit board that supplies 800-1200 volts to light up the "cold-cathode-fluorescent-tubes" that provide "WHITE LIGHT" so you can see whats on your screen. The "clicking sound you hear is the internal safety circuit going "IN and OUT" of SHUTDOWN MODE trying to save itself from a NONRECOVERABLE CATASTROPHIC FAILURE and or FIRE. Leave it off! It's BROKE. A local tech type will need to evaluate it. Get back to me if you need some options as to what you think you need to do with it. Or read some of the other posts I have made concerning LCD monitor failures. lmistyrel @ aol .com or louie12fix on fixya

I have found that where the power connector plugs into the back of the monitor, it is loose & doesn't make proper contact. Wiggling it around creates that same kind of popping sound as it repeatedly powers on & off. My solution: push it in hard & to the left, creating a friction bias. Mine makes a connection & then I just don't bump it to leave it on; it stays on for months. I suppose you could add a layer of black electrical tape to 2 sides of the power connector, to make it slightly larger, so it fits in more snugly. Also, haven't tried to SLIGHTLY pinch 1 of the power pins in the monitor toward the other pin, again creating a better biased hold when the power plug (female) connector is plugged in. USE NO METAL TOOLS!

You still have a fuse or power down issue if clocks reset all the time recheck all fuses with a multi meter and make sure they are good sometimes looking at them is not good enough. If you don't know how to use an ohm meter Google it ok.

Why is my samsung clp making a clicking noise?

Is the printer making a clicking sound when it is printing? Or is it just making a clicking sound but there are no light and the printer appears to be dead except making a clicking sound?

I know of a cause for either case.

Case 1. It is clicking when printing. Sometimes the toner cartridges are not seated properly in the imaging unit, and causes the gear on the cartridge to slip making a clicking sound as the gear is being turned. Try pulling out the cartridges and try turning the gear. It should turn smoothly without binding. If it binds, there is not much you can do about it except replace it when it goes empty. Reinsert the cartridge and check that it inserted completely into the imaging unit.

Case 2. Printer is dead, not printing except making a clicking sound. This is due to the power supply board failure. Usually the failure is due to a blown filter capacitor on the power supply board. The power supply is located on the right side of the printer. Remove the right side panel to get access to the board. The board can be either repaired or replaced. Hope this helps you.

I have the same model and the same problem... I am told the power display board is is the issue and may need to replacing. New board costs around $80,or a bad capacitor depending on your paitence.

Power Issue

Now,u plug in the tv u get a solid red standby power red LED light in the front of the LCD panel right? When u push the power button on the remote u hear a clicking sound?Only one clicking sound, not the power supply board problems. It the Tuner board problems. But u can make sure it the power board problems or not.By taking the tv aparts check the power board, that board where the a/c power cord goes into it.Look all around the power supply board check for these leakage capacitors, they alway bulges up it top or puff up it top.No bad leakage capacitors, then it not the power supply board problems.

please check the voltage your generator is supplying to the to the inverter because a high voltage and frequency can make the relays in the inverter to make clicking sounds, and also do not allow your inverter batteries to run completely low before you charge it

1995 ford f150 makes single loud click when trying to start

Does it make the loud click just once, or will it continue to click when you turn the key?
If it is just once, then there is still a bad connection someplace for the main power. If it continues to click every time you turn the key to "start", then it is probably the starter solenoid itself that is bad. There are two big terminals (bolts) on the solenoid, and if you connect a 12V test light or meter across them, you should see power there. If the light doesn't go out (or very dim) when you turn the ign. to 'start', then the solenoid is bad. If the light goes out and the starter doesn't turn, then there is something wrong with the starter. I suspect the solenoid also because it works better with a strong charge on the battery.

Digi002 interface not powering on

I just talked to Digidesign and apparently this is a problem with the DC power harness.  You can call them and they will send you a replacement harness at no cost, since it is a repair and a known issue.  Basically I was told that the problem was due to oxidation on the power contacts.  The oxidation prevents the unit from having constant power.  The clicking you hear are the relays going through the initial power sequence multiple times as they get power and then lose it again. In theory you could fix the problem temporarily with some contact cleaner.  They will be sending me a a package with the new (and improved) harness, instructions and contact cleaner.  I am assuming this will fix the problem once I get the chance to swap the harness myself.

Sounds like an ignitor problem or possibly a dirty orifice. Model #'s are usually on the frame behind the bottom drawer.
