My IXUS 400 intemittently shows a Purplish unsynchronised picture on the display and it records this when taking the picture. - any suggestions please? It used to happen occasionally but now it happens most of the time.

Sometimes when I go to take a picture the screen turns a purplish color and has wavy lines through it - if I do take a picture - that is what it looks like...if I wait awhile, sometimes it will go away and...
