Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3
I was able to repair it by taking it apart and cleaning all the contacts. I found some very helpful instructions with pictures for disassembly/assembly.The web site is http://www.celtnet.org.uk/mobile-phone/disassemble-motorola-v3-1.html I really didn't expect it to work but I didn't have anything to lose.

My z520i has the exact same problem. If your phones warranty is still in place you should be able to fix it free of charge. if not, try pushing down on the hinge with force but not too much or you'll break the screen off (I;ve seen that happen before).
