Question about Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver
This is basically the forerunners way of callibrating itself. It picks up the heart rate signal from the chest strap, sets itself high and then drops down until it matches the signal coming from the transmitter. This seems to be a feature in all the forerunner series though the Garmin reps I asked about it( I work in an outdoor store) weren't even aware of it and didn't seem too concerned even though staff who tested it had said it was annoying.
