Question about Tomtom GO 910 GPS Receiver
I keep having to use pin reset to get the GPS to turn on. Had it 6 months. Always worked before. Now first screen with Tom Tom beating the drum comes up after that then if not connected to pc asks me to accept user agreement and I cannot get it to accept my touch screen response. If connected to PC it asks if I want to connect but neither Yes nor No works. Seems as if the touch screen is forzen.
Recently upgraded to 2.1 software and it was working fine. Now I am 500 miles from home on a visit for the holidays and it's stopped!!!! Very frustrating. Can you assist?
Ok, that did not work!
I keep my tomtom in my work bag and usually keep it in the little case that comes with it, for some reason I got lax and just dropped it into nmy bag for a few days and that is when it quit working. (use the case) here is what I did to make mine work again. I noticed that when I would slide a business card under and along the edge of the screen, I woudl get some reaction, what I ended up soing was cutting some shims, two slices of a business card, i stacked them and slid them under the black plastic frame around the screen, now my tom tom works just fine, I can only assume that something got bent or misaligned, and yeah thats probably not the correct fix, but it works.

Hook the Tomtom using the USB cable to your computer. You should see the Tomtom drive under My Computer as a drive letter.
Backup all data from the Tomtom to a folder on your computer. Now select the Tomtom drive and right click, select properties, select tools, and then Check now. Allow the computer to fix any problems with the Tomtom drive. Once this is completed. Remove the USB cable and do a reset. Now turn on your Tomtom and it should work.

Tips for a great answer:
To calibrate the touchscreen on a nuvi 300 or 600 series:
1. Power the unit On.
2. From the Where to? / View map screen, touch Settings (wrench icon).
3. Touch Display.
4. Touch Recalibrate.
5. A new screen will display that says Press Dot.
6. Touch the center of the dot.
7. Keep touching the center of the dot as it moves around the screen.
8. When Calibration Complete appears on the screen, please touch OK.
The touch-screen will now be recalibrated.
