Try to hold the # button, or press it a few times durring the text message - it should flip from t9 to standard and maybe even symobls.

or else go into your message, being a new message then go to options - you should see some option change from t9 etc.

How to add words to the t9 dictionary.

Adding words to your phone's T9 dictionary is quite simple.
If you have a newer model phone with newer versions of T9 when you try to enter a word that isn't recognized you should be presented with a prompt that says "Add word" or "Spell".

If you have an older version of T9 don't despair you can still add words. All you have to do in this case is: switch from T9 mode to "abc" mode and spell the word one letter at a time, hit the space key, then switch back to T9 mode. Whatever word you just spelled has now been added to your T9 dictionary.

I want to know how to activate T9 dictionary in my Nokia Supernova 7210 classic.

In write message option hold on the hash(#) button to activate the T9 dictionary; or simply go to options menu select T9 dictionary and activate it.

I have never sent a text msg before. I am in 'create msg', and when I press a number, a whole string of letters appear...I thought it would scroll through them,and I would stop when I get to the one I...

here the t9 dictionary is turned on..when it is turned on,u just enter the first letter of the word and it will display the possible words starting with that letter...u can turn off that by pressing #. or from the options ,select input method and turn off the t9 dictionary..

Turn of dictionary function, in that function ur phone directly suggest a word ageinst letters u type ex. if u type h then it suggest hi,hello ets

I m unable to tell how u can turn it off as u have not mentioned ur phone's name & model

My daughter wants the t9 dictionary turned off her new mobile,

when your typeing a message on the j700 at the top right it should say something like "T9 E AB" thats what mine says. hold the * key down for a few seconds and it should disable the T9 home this helps

Texting and taking off the t9 feature of assuming what im going to type

sometimes it will pop extra words up like that for me, but i found that if you just ignore it and keep typing, they will go away. try it :)

I understand that u r unable to write message according to ur wish, Ur t9 dictionary is activated so pliz turn it off definitely u will  b able to type proper text.
