You need to reinstall or fresh-install the driver or the printer. Please let me know the installed Operating System on your computer (windows xp or windows vista or windows 7 etc.. etc..). I'll help you fix the issue.

Yesterday I downloaded driver for old hp 1600 printer scanner. The machine would not work. I left my hp desk jet d1420 hooked up during this time. Now Desk jet says offline. Que states 1600 printer states...

Ok first download the right driver agian, anden uninstall all related drivers to the Hp printers and then
go to start/run/regedit

and look for

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

and delete all about hp pinters power cycle your printer and your computer

I have a hp 5150 desk jet that won't print. The task manager says "door open" which I see sometimes after I change out the cartridges. However, in this case I didn't. I've opened and closed everything...

Open the printer cover.From right side there is a plastic rod.It's connect to door sensor.This plastic rod often breaks from top.Look that and if it's broke try to fix it with glue or something else.

Problem with hp deskjet 3920

If your printer connects to your PC with a USB cable, there is a specific sequence. Some setup programs want the USB cable connected after the driver is installed, others want it connected first. Try reinstalling the driver and pay close attention to the setup instructions.

It shows a few 3500's such as 3520, 3530, and 3550 but no 3500. But the drivers are located at the above posted link.

How can I sync paper feed gears? I had to disassemble the printer carriage and unjam it from the Service Center Unit. Now that I have that fixed, how do I Sync the Printer Drive Rollers and actuator gear so it feeds properly? There is a mechanical Actuator Gear that when engaged drives the Paper Lift Plate which raises the paper to the Paper Feed Rollers. But it's out of Sync, so it either stays up when manually raising it via gears or it stays down, which means the paper is too far away to get pulled into the the printer assembly. HOW DO I CORRECT THIS PAPER FEED PROBLEM??
