Question about Dell Inspiron 1420 Notebook

1 Answer

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 that has a Microsoft Windows Error message that will not go away even when closed. It says "Dell Wireless WLAN Card Wireless Network Controller stopped working and was closed". My wireless internet is working just fine and I have downloaded updates from dell for the WLAN card already. At this point I have no idea what the problem really is.

Try Deleting the wireless card from Device Manager.

Beware though, if you do this all your wireless settings, such as network names and keys, will probably be deleted as well.

Then right click on the name of your computer and click scan for changes and that will then reinstall the card. Can't say it will help but it's woth a shot.

Hi,
If you are getting the above error message , the same could because of two reasons .1. the wireless card is loose 2. the wireless card has gone bad.
