What is the velocity of BBs?

Varies, of course, with class and model, but:

"Lever action models generally have very low velocities, around 84 m/s (275 ft/s)..."

"The Daisy Model 25 pump-action BB gun typically achieved the highest velocities of its day, ranging from 375 ft/s (114 m/s) to 450 ft/s (140 m/s)...The re-issued version... has a muzzle velocity of approx 350 ft/s (110 m/s)."

The spindle of a mixer rotating at 1500rad/min slows down uniformly to 700rad/min while making 40revolution,. Calculate the angular acceleration

Use the equation linking the final angular velocity and the initial angular velocity
(omega_final)^2=(omega_initial)^2+2alpha(theta_ final -theta_initial)
Each revolution is 2PI radians.

Calculate the speed of the wave that has a frequency of 3 GHz and a wavelength of 4mm

For a plane wave in a homogeneous medium, the phase velocity of the wave is related to the frequency and the wavelength by the relation
velocity = wave_length*frequency
In this case
velocity (in m/s)=(4*10^-3 m )*(3*10^9 s^-1)=12*10^(9-3)=12*10^6
Thus velocity=1.2*10^7 m/s

Vibration when accelerating from stop

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity over time. When you are braking, you are changing the velocity of the vehicle you are in. That means that when you are braking you are actually accelerating.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Using the formula developed by brier and panofsky,determine the storm central pressure if the approximate velocity velocity of winds at low pressure area is 40 knots

Panofsky and Brier methods is normally being used for the conversion of barometric pressure to speed in m/sec or to nm/hr (knots). Being a professor in a maritime schools for this lesson, i encourage students to understand this.

P&B Methods:
If you use SVPAM Calculator
(1016-PO)= square root = x 3.5 + 3.9 = velocity in m/sec

PO = Pressure Observed
so practical.. :) SIR JAPZ

How to set velocity on tippnan 98 custom

There is a velocity adjuster on the left side of the body, just below and to the right of the "N" in "TIPPMANN."

In order to adjust the velocity you need to be in a place where it is safe and legal to fire your marker (paintball field, with all bystanders protected by netting or paintball goggles.) You will need a chronograph and a 3/16-inch hex wrench.

The adjuster is a screw that blocks the gas flow from the valve to the bolt. If you screw it in (clockwise) it blocks more of the gas, so your velocity goes down. If you screw it out (anti-clockwise) it blocks less gas, so the velocity goes up.

Just take a shot over the chronograph to check your velocity, adjust and check again until you get it where you want it. Most paintball fields limit velocity to 285 feet per second. Never go above 300 feet per second, as velocities above that are unsafe (beyond paintball goggle ratings and can cause damage and infection on skin due to the heavy impact.)

It is important to test and adjust the velocity before each day of play, and even multiple times during the day as weather changes, because it is affected by temperature.

Hi I'm trying to find the reciprocal sign on my Casio fx-300es

If you mean "1-over-x" then it's the key marked "x-superscript-negative-one" just right and below the big round cursor pad. If you mean "reciprocal sign" more commonly referred to as "negative" or "change-sign" then it's the key marked "(-)" two keys above the "7" key.

How to get the average of the velocity if motion is under constant acceleration

Take the example of a racing car as pictured in the animation above. It takes the vehicle 10 minutes(0.17 hours) to travel 23km, from start to finish.

averagespeed.gif
Average speed = 23km / 0.17hrs = 135.29km/hr

averagevelocity.gif
Average velocity = 4km / 0.17hrs = 23.53km/hr

The average speed is 135.29km/hr but the velocity is only 23.53km/hr. The reason that velocity is lower, is that it can be positive and negative. Remember this from our earlier discussion on velocity? If not,click to refresh your memory. Since the velocity has negative and positive values some will cancel each other out, hence the lower value. Speed, however, can only be positive.
