Check the Power settings in Control Panel as you most likely have a powersave setting for 20 minutes active.

When I turn the TV and cable box on the TV will turn itself off and on for about 20 min before staying on. If I turn the TV on alone, leave it for 15 min, then turn the cable box on it's ok, Why?

The cable box is having trouble talking to the television using hdmi. This could be an upgrade issue or compatibility issue with HDMI versions.

The tv will run for 10-20 mins and than power itself off and than the lamp light as well as the stand by/ temp light will flash

It's not a cheap fix. Sounds as though a part is becoming extra warm and the system shuts down because of it.It may help to remove power to it for a while like having a reset switch.

Technika lcd40-920 turns on they turns itself off after 20 mins then keeps turning itself of and on for a while until eventually the on and standby button just flashes alternate colours

A through check should be done make sure about the fault. Power supply section is working, as you reports. Otherwise, there will be no power ON function. The main board might have the fault; shorted or damaged components.

My big screen will only play for about 15 to 20 mins before shuting itself off. How can I fix this? Plus the picture is off on the left hand side like there are two images.

This is most likely the flyback transformer going out and overheating causing the set to turn itself off!...The flyback will need replaced but this is a HIGH VOLTAGE holder and should be done by a pro!
