I have a Maytag Neptune Dryer that I purchased in 2005 that just quit. I unplugged it and plugged it back up once and about 15 minutes later the lights on the control panel came back on and the dryer worked for about 30 minutes and that was it. Now the light inside the dryer comes on but the control panel doesn't do anything, no lights or anything. My wife is wearing me out about fixing it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is the drum light on while the door is closed?? look on the teck sheet found in the lower front panel for a wiring diagram momery servers me there is a thermal fuse chances are this is bad if you cant find this tech sheet I will look in my invoice book and see if I can find the sheet for it good luck let me know what you find out

You have to be a registered, qualified gas engineer to work on gas appliances. They are just too dangerous and too explosive to work on. A cautionary tale a mile from where I live. I drove through the mess 2 hours later, it made OUR windows rattle!
Hello Friend, Your solution is simple. It sounds like your dryer is working properly, and your actual problem is a blockage somewhere in your 4 inch exhaust tubing. Check it and make sure it is not clogged up with excessive lint. Also if your tubing is clear you need to check your connection where it travels thru the wall etc. It would be a good idea to find the actual location where it exits to the ouside and check for good airflow. Your dryer is equiped with a safety thermistat and if you are not getting the proper exhaust flow the burner will cut off and restart in the manner that your's is doing. your dryer has a safety feature that it will not run or heat when the door is opened. It is so no gas fumes are exhauseted into your home. Once the safety is engaged, It will not allow the dryer to restart for a short while. It should clear itself after only a few minutes. Hope this helps, good luck.
