You have to ocnnect your iphone to internet first , Follow below step to connect to internet

When you use any Internet enabled application, iPhone does the following in order until connected:

1. Connects over the last Wi-Fi network you used that's available.
2. If no Wi-Fi networks you've used are available, shows a list of Wi-Fi networks in range. Tap a network and, if necessary, enter the password to join. Networks that require a password show next to them.
3. If no Wi-Fi networks are available or you choose not to join any, iPhone connects over the cellular data network.

Note: You can be on a call and use Wi-Fi or 3G1 at the same time. Other cellular data networks are unavailable while you're on a call.
Wi-Fi

• Wi-Fi is often faster than cellular data networks. Wi-Fi networks cover limited areas. iPhone can join AirPort and other Wi-Fi networks at home, at work, or at Wi-Fi hot spots around the world.
  When iPhone is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows connection strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the connection.

The problem is most probably with your internet provider, having trouble connecting to yahoo china. You can use Open DNS as nameservers, tho. This gives you a better chance connecting to yahoo china and other websites you're having trouble connecting. Go to your network connection settings and on the TCP/IP, instead of using obtained DNS server, use the following:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

The answer to your question is, Yes! Here is a link on how to set up a P-168 China iPhone clone for T-Mobile. (NOTE!) This settings are old and may have been changed by now by T-Mobile. Call T-Mobile and ask for tech support to get the current settings. Do the same if you have AT&T as your provider.

Just a note: I programmed the internet settings for T-mobile into a cell phone watch from China about a year ago and it worked great. So it can be done.

download the internet setting provided by your network provider also download the setting for nokia handsets those are the only handset model of nokia recognized by your network service provider.

If it's from China, a clon, not original Nokia, try to set up the Wap and GPRS. You need to configure the set up your self with yours wireless provider's information.

i) in the case of branded mobile(such as nokia, samsung, lg, .....), u can get internet setting to ur mobile by sending a message from ur mobile,  but this is not the caseof china mobile

ii) in case of china mobile u have to take mobile to ur nearest service provider center(fore eg: vodafone mobile store in case of vodafone service provider) and he will make some settings in ur mobile(internet settings) and activate the internet manually(otherwise insist him activate internet there itself)..
