Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 10 Series II Typewriter

Ibm typewriter in LANG mode. How do you get it out of LANG mode?

Figured it out on our own. Just had to hold down the function key a few seconds for it to work. So we held the function key and "L" for lang down together for a few seconds and it went off.

Make? Model? If this is an IBM wheelwriter you may be in lang. mode code "L" or"X" depending on the age will get you out of it.

Tour keyboard is going bad. Hold the code down press lang (L) key release the "L" type 001, release the code key this should put you on U.S. keyboard mode. For a better repair you can try my tip under WW1000 or contact Geo Beyers Co. @ 800-392-8085 for a keyboard rebuild. Tell them O'Reilly sent you.

Our ibm 6787 types the wrong letters. we took out


Make sure that the Lang function is not on.

Everytime we hit the shift key, it starts typing ZXCVM,.2(the 2 is tiny and in the corner like 2 to the power of...) and the other shift key does the same but different letters or #'s.

Tou didn't give a make or model, but if it is an IBM Wheelwriter it may be in language mode or something may have been spilled in the keyboard coce "L" or "X" will get you out of the lang mode depending on it's age.

Screwy lettering

Check to see if you are in the language mode, the lang light on the right will be lit. Code "L" willturn it off.

Depending on the age either code "L" or "X" (LANG) key.
