First of all you have to find out if your laptop came with a Restoration disk or not. If it did not then you may have all of the restoration files in your computer already. There are different methods of starting the "in laptop" factory recovery restoration for different brand name laptops. For expample, TOSHIBA Laptops require you to press 0 as soon as you turn them on. Others may display or prompt you to press a certain key while most lenovo laptops have a blue key that you can press that will actually ask you and walk you thru on to what you want to do.

How do I enable bluetooth E728

I used to work for Acer (who own emachines) and I am pretty sure that that unit does not have a Bluetooth module, if you did it would start loading drivers & set itself up as soon as the button or key combo was pressed, it was a manufacturers option not standard.
When you press the key or button it will state in green lettering at bottom of screen "NO BLUETOOTH DEVICE".

Gfxui stopped working

Graphics User Interface stopped working.......

Based on what?

Error message, or your own statement?

Does an external VGA monitor work, attached to the laptop?

Actually I should state, "External media device"

I have no idea of what laptop we are talking about here, so don't even know if your laptop HAS a VGA port on it.
Might only be HDMI or Mini-HDMI, or DVI.

So I'll stop here until the laptop manufacturer name, and model name/number is stated........

Model name/number is on the Bottom of the laptop.
Example: Acer Aspire 5535-5315
Acer = Manufacturer
Aspire = Model Series
5535 = Model Series number
5315 = Model Number

Need to replace the cmos battery

Hello that`s easy.

Open the case, and look for a small round shinny battery.

Press the release button, and the battery will pop out.
If not, use a small screwdriver, but don`t use force:
Here is a picture, how it looks like:

The battery type is a CR 2032, 3 volts watch type.
Insert the new battery the same way.

When you remove the battery, the cmos/ bios will be cleared, and the bios needs to be setup: clock, date, boot settings, etc.

A pc repair shop, can help you with renewing the battery.

Good luck

Commonly, recent branded laptops or netbooks have a feature called system restore or system recovery that allows to return your computer to a the factory default state, in other words, almost a brand new state software, this feature can be available depending on manufacturer and model, by CD/DVD system restore disks, as an option shown during starup or a software utility running in Windows.

I need to change my region code to Europe How do i do that?

The device manufacturer predetermines the available setting from which adjustments are achievable elsewhere from factory. First, once a device is acquired from the market, an initial installation has default settings that are capable of alterations with conditions. Products manufacturer for the American market would usually have for regional settings the fifty main land states to include territories at which availability become possible. For example, devices may have for regional settings east coast, west coast, mid western states, and southern states as choice settings capable of alterations. However, device intended for the American market may least have regional alteration feature capabilities. The default regional settings may have been the devices only available settings. Alternately, device may simply disallow settings like with those without any regional adjustment features. Exploring through the device menu buttons should make available any manufacturers embedded setting capable of manufacturer's alterations. If any settings are found on the device, refer to the user guide for step by step instructions on achieving alterations.

My laptop sound system is not working

Check with the headphones, if there sound check the speakers, if no sound then the drivers need to be installed once again , if not restore to earlier set point.
if none of these works the PC must be reinstalled with OS.

In settings, I want to change from low colour to high clour 32 bit. Because everything is visible in blurred state. Windows XP.

Hi

Thank you for your query

Please do the following

1) Right click on the desktop
2) Left click on properties
3) On Display settings windo that will open up please click on the tab entitled 'settings'

Inside this tab there will be a option to change the colour resolution and colour quality (i.e. 16 bit, 32 bit etc)

If the screen is in a blurred state you may also need to change the screen resolution

I hope this helps.
