Yes, we bought 3 of these frames and NONE OF THEM DO NOT WORK! They all have a problem with the the display fading in the quality of picture. I do NOT recommend anyone buying this product.

I am not sure if that post above qualifies as a solution :o). More like preventative care.

The subwoofer output on my Kenwood VR-606 has suddenly stopped working. I have tried the "setup" several times, turning the subwoofer off and back on. Also, when I first power up the system, it emits a low...

It sounds like the problem is not with your VR-606. If you hear a hum from the sub, the problem is more likely to be in the sub's built-in power amplifier. However, it is worth resetting the amplifier to factory presets. To do this, unplug the power cable from the mains supply and reconnect whilst holding down the power on/standby key. If the hum persists, connect any powered speaker to the sub-out socket, power on and listen for the hum. If no hum then suspect the powered sub amp. Turn the sub on with no connection to the Kenwood VR-606. If hum persists, the sub has a problem and will need to be replaced or repaired. By the way, you said there is a low frequency hum through the 'speakers' for about 30 mins. Is that all speakers or just the sub? Hope this helps.
Cheers, Don.

Hyundai accent 2001 will not start all lights work radio works heater fan works battery in 3 months old when I turn the key all i hear is a humming sound for about 1 min. than nothing. weather has be

The humming would be the fuel pump coming on. It should only hum for a few seconds, then shut off.
Your problem is with the start circuit from the battery to the starter, or from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. Check the connections at the starter (the big cable) for tightness.
Is the battery charged up enough to turn the engine over? Check by turning headlights on and observe while someone turns key to crank. If they dim a LOT, then either battery is too low, or the starter is bad and needs removing for testing. If brightness doesn't change, then the circuit from ignition switch to starter solenoid is likely not working. Check for 12 volts at the small wire to starter solenoid with key in cranking position. If you have power there, the solenoid may be bad. Remove starter for testing. If no power at solenoid in starting position, then either the ignition switch is bad or the neutral safety switch might be the problem, or the wiring from the switch to the starter solenoid is not passing current.
Good luck.

My smart parts frame has no power - any suggestions?

Use a "multi-meter" to measure the voltage and amperage output from the power-adapter.
If the values don't match the specifications on the adapter, replace the adapter.

Find a compatible power-adapter (maybe by going back to the store where you bought the SmartParts, taking your frame with you) and trying powering your SmartParts from that adapter.
If it still does not work, then exercise the WARRANTY on the device to get it repaired/replaced.

Toshiba 62HM195, Loud hum noise when TV is first turned on.

I have the exact TV and had the exact same problems. It is the light engine with color wheel that needs to be replaced, and they are VERY hard to come by for this model. Our repairman has had our TV for 5 months and still cannot locate a vendor that carries the part. He said according to Toshiba, the part has been discontinued. If you happen to find one, please post. I'll do the same.

SmartParts SP1100B 11'' picture frame won't turn on

sounds like there was a power serge.  One of the suggestions would be to make sure you use the "safely Remove Hardware" tab on the tool bar.  The USB cable actually has power that goes through the line and can damage the flash memory in the picture frame.
your one hope would be to try another USB cable.

To remove a picture, connect the frame to your PC via USB. you should see the frame appear as a drive, in my case,
36972 (E:)

open the drive as Explore, you can now see the pictures, and delete what you no longer want.

you can download the software from

Dishwasher fill with water then just hums

the hum is probably the main pump powered up but not turning. the pump is an induction motor and a usual fault is the motor capacitor. try to access it, find the value of the capacitor and replace. it is a cheap part

My Matag dryer does not run, but for a while it hummed before starting.

Motors of this sort have a "start" winding, to give them an extra boost to get them turning. Once they're turning, the start winding shuts off. Critical to this is the start capacitor which, when shorted, causes the exact symptom you've described. The motor's "regular" winding gets power (and then hums), but it needs that extra boost to actually start turning. Have someone check the capacitor (with an ohmeter) or check to see if the motor's start winding is open (broken).
