Sometimes RCA cables to the amp can go bad give them a look-see they may need to be replaced. I doubt you have a problem with the speakers themselves. you may also check the ground wire to the amp, make sure it has a tight metal to metal connection

How do i get my 2 4ohm dvc type r's to 2 ohms for my mrp m1000 to get the full power?

ok its all in the way you wire them, just remember when you wire your speakers in series, the ohms build(add to eachother) which would make them total of 8 ohms, and if you wire in parrallel the ohm load cuts in half (2 ohms). So you want to wire them together in parrallel then run your wire to the amp. Just so you know though, if you bridge your amp, it will also cut the ohm load in half, so you would see total of 1 ohm which gives you more power, just make sure your amp is 1 ohm stable and your subs can handle it.

About Power supply wires (MRP-M1000 only)

• 21mm2 is the minimum power and ground cable size

that should be used to connect this amplifier. The

length of these cables should not exceed 1m to assure

safe operation.

• If the length of the power and ground cables exceed

1m, or if you connect more than one amplifier, a distribution

block should be used with 33mm2 or 53mm2

power and ground cables depending on the length

necessary. Ensure that you install a correctly-rated

in-line fuse on the power cable near the battery positive

post.

I have two type-rs hooked up to a mrp-m1000 and its not hitting hard at all! but when one is hooked up it hits harder than two... so is it the way its hooked up or do i need another mrp-m1000 amp? or can i...

If the speakers are rated at 500W or greater, then you'll need two amps to get their full potential. When you connect two to a single 500W amp, each speaker only gets a max of 250W. Also, check the ohm rating for the outputs of the amp and the ohm rating of the speakers as well. Unmatches speaker/amp impendence also results in poor performance. If you connect two speakers to one terminal, the total impedence of the speakers falls by 1/2 (two 4 ohm speakers wire together will result in 2 ohm impedence). So, if you have an amp rated at 4 ohms, you could connect two 8 ohm speakers to a single output. Hope this helps some!

How do i install mrp m1000 to two type r 12s step by step.

Hello chadbcavanau,

See the link here for a step-by-step install with photos and amp wiring diagram.

First you need to purchase an amp wiring kit (minimum 4 gauge power and ground). If your vehicle is equipped with the stock radio, you'll also need to purchase a line output converter (LOC).

Hope this helps.
