Suggest you replace the timer dial, this should do the trick.

My dryer works on high heat on the timed side of the knob, but won't work on the low heat and high heat (more dry, less dry or energy preferred setting)

Does this mean the timer wont move or it will not dry ? if it will not dry it is more than likely the timer , if it wont advance then you have a shorted element

Gas dryer heats at first then take forever to dry, auto dry setting does not advance

If it works to begin with and fails afterwards then that can only be them solenoids mounted on the gas assembly. Here is my home video which shows how to check and replace:

Kenmore 110.60812990 will not stop

if it's not advacing in time dry you have a bad timer, that timer should count down no matter what the dryer is doing,if you have it in auto then it could be no heat, when it's in auto or more or less cycle the heat comes on and the timer won't move until the heat shuts down, when the heat is off timer advances, when the heat starts the timer stops,it will do this until the clothes are dry and then timer will shut off but in timed cycle, timer isn't counting down get a new timer.

When in auto dry mode, the heat comes on for an initial warming but then does not come on and the dial does not advance. When using timed drying, the dial DOES count down but heat does not come back on...

It sounds like you have a faulty timer. To test it, remove timer knob and remove screws. Remove screws from behind control panel. Disconnect leads from timer motor, use a Volt/ohm meter and probe leads, if reading is high or infinity, it's faulty. Should range between 2 or 3k. You can also test the temperature selector switch. It's located next to start switch. Take off leads, probe with meter, Turn switch, reading should range from zero to infinity or vice versa.

Dryer Timer dial will not move but dryer works

Will the dryer move forward in timed dry? if it does not then you need a new timer. If if will advance in timed dry but does not advance in auto mode then the high limit needs to be replaced on the heater.

Extremely low drum heat but setting is on HIGH.

Electric (Kenmore - 60931) dryer takes forever (several cycles) lately to dry clothes set on high heat (actual heat in tub feels low though). There are no obstructions in the venting and the 240 volt connection is fine. The timer rotates the dial (timer motor working). Help!!!

Dial/heat problems

First, check your circuit breakers. If you are in North America, there are two linked breakers with a 30-50 amp rating. Turn them both off and then back on to reset them. I doubt there are fuses in the dryer. Next, is the motor running and the timer advancing? If not, there are issues there. If still no function, I'm going to guess at the timer as the culprit since it is working intermittently. Oh, and check to see if any wiring to the appliance is burned or damaged, including junction boxes.
