Question about Car Audio & Video
Hi I recently disconnected my radio and now all it says is safe how do i get it to allow me to enter the code and what do i press once i have entered the code?
It says SAFE because wrongcodes have been entered
To restore from SAFE leave the radio SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED until it automatically resets itself,(This could take an hour or more)
Code Entry Instructions depend on the make of radio and car.
Many can be found here for free
Make sure you are using the correct code.
If in doubt then POST ANOTHER QUESTION
quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING
Also quote the MAKE of CAR
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number
If not then try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive
