The message light is on and I have no messages. How can I turn it off?

There are messages or the light would be out. On an idle phone, press MESSAGE. Look at the display. It will tell you where the message came from and the 3rd soft key will let you CLEAR the message. When they're all gone, the light will go out.

Not true. The message light WILL turn off when there are no messages. The messages don't have to all come from the voice mail system.

the reason the message button is calling another extension is because that extension turned your message light on. to turn off the message light either press the msg button and have the extension answer the call or press intercom #409. You'll have to that for each message recieved til the light goes out.

The adminstrative option of Centrex IVMX allowed me to turn the notification message light option "ON".

Pushed the " Message" key and chose "clear" from the screan.

The message was probably left manually by a co-worker and not the voice mail try entering feature 65 that should send you to who turned on the message light.when the station is called back the light should go out.

make sure you have aphone with message waiting light. if so then you must have aport from merlin messaging to turn lights on and off

Have u ckecked whether the message box is full?

Try clearing all the messages from the setup menu
