It depends on the router that you have.
If you are using a wireless G router, then the wireless speed will be 54 mbps. and if you are using N series router then the wireless speed will be more than 54 mbps.

1) Position the wireless router so that the line of sight to your computer is unblocked.

2) Upgrade the wireless routers firmware by visiting the manufacturers website and looking to the downloads or support sections for any upgrades.

3) Return your current router and buy a better one, the more top line routers actually make a huge difference in speed. D-Link and Linksys have some top of the line wireless routers.

4) Use a wireless speed optimizer such as tweakmaster to get the speed up.

5) Make your network a private network by setting a password so others can take up the bandwidth.

hopefully this helps!

Asus M2V890 motherboard supports max 2GB memory per specs. Is there any way to increase this, or am I stuck with 2GB?

2GB is enough for the MB you are using, if there are no more slots on the MB then you cant increase them.....every slot has a MAX limit of RAM card that can be installed, check the MB specification....i guess 1GB per slot is the MAX...so 2 slots...2GB

My aspire 2920 can only upload 40 wireles when i connect with cable it opload 400. how can I solve the problem ? regards Axel

Speed is always faster while connected with a cable, this might not really be a problem but just a limitant in tecnology. For example, the maximum speed u can download wireless is about 550kbps, but while connected directly to ur modem, u can download for 11Mbps(+11000kbps).

I have a Satellite 2405-S221 and I was wondering if the max memory i can install is 512K, is there a way to update the bios, or ANYTHING to increase that amount to at least 1 gig??

Toshiba Satellite 2405-S221 Laptop takes the PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 256 MB (removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Toshiba Satellite 2405-S221 Laptop to up to a maximum of 512 MB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory, already with 256 MB (removable) standard Memory installed.

In short.... yeah, 512k is the max.

Doesn't appear to a bios limitation. It is a hardware issue that is limiting the amount.

Sluggish slow performance and bad keys

Sounds like both machines may have spyware / malware on them. I would download Malwarebytes Anti-malware scanner, it is a free download; can be found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Paying for the program gives you "real time" protection, but it is fully operational without paying the only difference is no real time protection is offered.

This will get rid of a lot of the junk that often gets installed on a computer over time.

The other thing to look at is upgrading your RAM, a lot of computers are sold with only 256 MB of RAM on XP machines and 2 GB on Vista machines; these are the bare min required to run Windows; you should max out the RAM for your machine; depending upon the age of the machine you should be able to add anywhere from 2 GB to 4 GB of RAM, really old machines may have a cap limit of 512 MB or 768 MB check with your manufacture before purchasing. Some motherboards will support more than 4 GB but unless you are running XP 64 bit or a 64 bit version of Vista; the 32 bit OS is only going to see a max of 4 GB in XP Home Edition it seems to only see a max of 3 GB.

There is no max size when it comes to hard drives. Go as big as you want or can get.
