It is supposed to get the driver right the way ...all flash drives have a folder built in where the drivers are ...if not ...just look into my computer and locate something called exactly like the pen drive ...but not the folder where you ussualy load files...there you will find the driver ...
you can also try to install it ( if not recognized ) by get to device manager ...look for the device ..and run the wizard ...( right click and update driver ) ...the same wizard you can run it from control panel ...add new hardware ...and after that choose added but not installed...and run the wizard automatically...also ...ya might have to browse and locate the driver manually
ifthe driver does not fit...or makes problem ...let me know the exact model of teh pen drive ...and the manufacturer ...and I will provide a driver to install permanently ...and it will work ..

You need to install the Drivers for you pendrive to work with windows. You might have received a driver CD with the pendrive or you can search for the drivers on manufacturer's website. If you provide me the manufacturer's name I will give you the link for driver. Or you can google it on your own.

windows 98 does not support the NTFS file system, so you need to format your pen drive as FAT32 to make it compatible with 98.
Hope it helped,

Installing Kingston 8 GB pen drive

It does not appear that kingston has released any support for its pen drives for windows 98. I would highly suggest upgrading your operating system. You may still be able to contact kingston, they may have a fix but it seems fairly unlikely.

To use moserbare 1gb pen drive

sarwesh,
to use USB mass storage in Windows 98 you need to install drivers for your mass device. So,
  1. Findout if any CD/DVD shipped with your pendrive. Install driver from that to your Windows 98 PC, then you can use it.
  2. If you don't have any setup disk from manufacturer, there might be drivers and software prestored in your pen drive. Use this pendrive to any other PC with XP/Vista. Burn these files to any CD/DVD and then make install these drivers to your Windows 98 PC, after that you can use your pen drive on your Windows 98 PC.
  3. If you are not able to do step 2, then goto manufacturer's site select your model no. and download driver and install.

If still you didn't found. Tell me your pendrive manufacturer and model no. I will try to give you link.

Thanks
Iqbal
