Where can I get a set of seals for a Clarke CHV12 pipe bender. I have oil leaks from the main piston and the pump piston.

For the most part hydrolic seals are generic and can be matched at most bearing belting suppliers not sure where you are but your local directory will have a list the key word here is "match" you will need to take the old ones out and take them with you from past experience close isn't good enough you will be able to find the exact seal.

On a 2006 Ford Fusion 2.3 S What would cause the oil to be sucked out of the block thru the intake and burn it out of the exhaust??


most common is piston rings gone, or a leak in the head. engine is like a pump the pistons are the pump,. it can be also an imbalance in the engine were by there is a blockage in the sump breather pipe, this can force the oil to leave the sump, this would cause damage to all the moving parts. i would have the engine checked out,. if its going though the piston rings it would be sluggish and no power and ruff idling, turbo model if turbo seal has failed it will send oil back into the intake (some times hard to see as its still sealed).

NEED DIAGRAM FOR LOCATIONS OF CRANKSHAFT PULLY,OIL SLINGER AND SPRING.FOR 1983 MAZDA 2.2L DIESEL


Here is the procedure:-


  1. Remove setscrew from side of cylinder block.


  2. Remove oil pipe attaching bolts.


  3. Remove oil pump and strainer.
TIMING GEAR COVER



  1. Remove timing gear cover to case attaching bolts.


  2. Remove timing gear cover and gasket.

CAMSHAFT, CRANKSHAFT, IDLER & INJECTION PUMP GEARS



  1. Remove oil slinger and washers from crankshaft snout.
Using puller set 49 0839 425C or equivalent, remove crankshaft timing gear, Fig. 3.


  1. Position a clean rag between camshaft and idler gears, then remove cam gear lock bolt and washers.


  2. Using puller set 49 0839 425C or equivalent, remove cam gear from camshaft, Fig. 3.


  3. Remove idler gear to spindle retaining nuts and washers, then remove idler gear and spindle assemblies.


  4. Remove injection pump drive gear.


  5. Remove timing gear case to cylinder block attaching bolts, then the timing case.



CAMSHAFT




  1. Remove tappets from cylinder block.


  2. Remove camshaft thrust plate to cylinder block retaining bolts and washers, then pull camshaft from block.



PISTON & CONNECTING ROD




  1. Remove connecting rod bearing cap retaining nuts and bolts, then separate bearing cap from connecting rod.


  2. Using the wooden handle end of a hammer, push the piston and connecting rod assembly outward until piston rings clear cylinder bore. Remove piston and connecting rod assembly through top of cylinder block.


  3. To separate piston from connecting rod, remove piston pin retaining clips, then press pin from piston using a suitable driver.



CRANKSHAFT




  1. Remove rear oil seal cap retaining bolts, then the cap and seal.


  2. Remove main bearing cap to cylinder block retaining bolts, then the main bearing caps and thrust washers.


  3. Lift crankshaft from cylinder block.

What else can i do to solve compression pressure in the sump on a Hyundai H100 2012 2.6D bakkie? oil was blowing from the dipstick now pouring from the crank rear main seal.


First thing ,,,Is to remove dipstick and run engine [now how much back pressure have you got] if none ,ok .what is the oil pressure when cold,and when hot , should be very little differance, what ring gap did you give the rings when they were fitted. and was the rear main seal a good fit or loose fit ,,,and as for fitting new oil rings AGAIN and that stopped the pressure in the sump from blowing out the dip stick hole well THE compression rings are the ones which should have been checked for the correct gap and at -003thou per inch per bore,as the oil rings are only oil scrapers, and compression rings are for Compression is what you have a lot of in the sump.

Engine knoking and heat


Hi, Jitendra you may have squeaked your top end this is commonly known as "HEAT SEIZE" the piston heats up expands and becomes extremely tight in the cylinder bore and usually occurs mainly on 2 cycle engines right after a fresh top end rebuild, but it can also happen to brand new motorcycles, these are rare instances due to better quality control and education. Overheating failures that cause pistons to seize are many and each one should be carefully diagnosed to prevent future repeat offenders and the usual suspects are:
1. Loose fasteners causing intake or base gaskets to leak or crankshaft seal failure caused by age, overheating, or walking.
2. Improper assembly of reed valve gaskets.
3. Improper oil/fuel premix ratio.
4. Broken, pinched, or cracked fuel line.
5. Carburetor fuel passages clogged or restricted from stale fuel varnish, ethanol sludge, dirt, rust, or fuel level in float bowl too low.
6. Main jet size too small.
7. Air filter improperly installed, missing or not sealing.
8. Faulty or improperly adjusted oil pump and or cable.
9. Failure to bleed oil pump after running oil tank dry, rebuild of pump or replacement
10. Among the causes of lack of cylinder, lubrication is clogging of lubricator by dirt or waste, obstruction in oil pipes/lines, leaky check valves, leaky pump packing, broken oil pipe/line, oil too cold to feed.
11. Wrong type of oil used in premix or oil tank
12. Improper spark plug heat range (too hot) and or gap.
13. Ignition timing retarded, faulty CDI.
14. Excessive engine load, brakes dragging, clutch slipping, transmission lubricant level too low or viscosity to high.
15. Engine coolant level too low, too old, or improper mixture ratio.
16. Engine coolant pump failure, damage, or passages restricted.
17. Radiator clogged, fins damaged, or faulty cap.
18. Failure to follow proper break in procedures.

Kubota la 723 bucket dump cylinders are sinking no leaks


If the rams in the cylinders are moving without any control operation it means either of two things. --- the piston bucket seals in the cylinders are failing and the oil is by-passing the piston or there is a badly worn cylinder which amounts to the same thing or the control valves are leaking at the seats and allowing oil to by-pass back to the tank. To check the piston seals push the rams all the way out. Loosen off the pipe at the seal end and if the piston seals are leaking there will be a fluid flow from that line . If the seals are good there will be no oil flow.. That way you will know if it is the cylinder/ piston problem or control valves.

CPI Aragon 50CC ran out of oil, replinished then re-started scooter then stopped, so topped up petrol but now will not start at all. Any ideas please ?

My a v l engine is throwing oil from brither pipe. i have changed piston kit, oil pump shaft and seal but it is of no use. plz help me


It is common to have oil leaking from your breather pipe when new engine kit is installed.as the engine worn out leaking would be normal.

2003 Honda CR 250 R oil leaking front of the exhaust pipe

1. Engine oil over filled.
2. Piston rings worn past service specs.
3. Broken piston rings.
4. Piston pin retaining clip failure.
5. Cracked piston.
6. Broken piston ring lands.
7. Hole in the piston.
8. Valve/guide clearance worn past service specs.
9. Worn out valve seals.
10. Crushed or loose valve seal.
