Question about Vivitar Cameras
My Vivitar Vivicam 5388 lens is extended and will not go back into place. The camera will not work at all despite new batteries
Had the same problem with three cameras, dirty or tired connections. They switched on started to extend the lens and went off leaving the lens stuck out.
Try cleaning the brass springs that touch the ends of the batteries.
You can normally see two spring tags at the bottom of the battery slot.
Carefully lift them to make them tighter on the battery, you can use a cocktail stick or something similar.

Usually it is a flat battery which causes this problem. You have to put in new battery once again and try.
