Since you not not 100 percent ill assume you mean there is heat, if thats the case then your problem could be as simple as cleaning the outside vent, where the dryer exhausts, you should feel quite aq bit of air there, if not you may have a lint issue, clean it and you should be fine

Most electric dryer problems not heating are due to the heater coil circuit being broken. The wiring can be replaced by the coil kit being purchased from an appliance parts store. Need make and model numbers. Follow directions in package.

My lg dryer is taking way to long to dry ,we have to run it three times at 100 min its getting hot but,but that it takes way to long to dry cloths

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Dryer doesn't dry clothes, timer doesn't advance. Machine heats up and clothes are stil lwet

You may need to an appliance service to come out and really clean your dryer vent and the flexible coil that runs from your dryer to the outside vent. Do not run your dryer until this is cleaned. Your dryer could overheat and cause a fire. Sears did ours last December and it was the best $100 we could have spent.

2 yr old samsung dryer does not dry clothes totally

Remove the vent completely and clean it out 100 percent. Elbows (corner bends) will hold more than you think causing the dryer to keep the heat off. The sensors for the newer style dryers detect plugged up vents and shut down the heating modes. If cleaned and still no heat the spark ignitor has gone bad

I think The dryer takes very long time to dry clothes

Hello,

Very common problem. You need to call a
duct cleaning company and tell them to clean
your dryer vent. Rule-of-thumb: dryer vents
should be cleaned every couple of years to
prevent them from being clogged with lint and
causing lint fires. This is definitely your problem.
Good luck :)

p.s. one way to verify a clogged vent is
to go outside where the vent exits the house
and feel the air-flow. should have adequate air-flow.

LG Gas dryer doesn't dry clothes in one cycle

Have you checked your outside vent while it was running to see if the dryer was venting 100%. If your clothes are hot and humid I would say clean your vent pipe has a blockage and needs to be cleaned out. Also as far as the burning smell you could take the front off (unplug first) the dryer of by removing 4 screws one above and one below the latch and two at the bottom and there are two clips one at the top left and right push in with a puddy knife and lift the top up a couple inches and lift the front up off the bottom holders. Then you will have access to vacuuming the lint that is floating around the burner.

Not drying

I know you cleaned the lint vent but your vent hose is clogged or damaged and there is no air exchange thru the dryer Air can only hold 100% humidity. You could dry your clothes for 10 hours but the air in the dryer is saturated with water and can not hold anymore so your clothes wont dry. Check behind your dryer and Ill bet the vent line is damaged. The problem is the air is not getting out of the dryer. Check the flapper at the end of the vent line. With the dryer running go to the end of the vent hose and there will be no air coming thru.

Dryer takes too long to dry my clothes

My dryer has been taking longer and longer to dry my clothes. Sometimes it takes multiple cycles before the clothes become dry. They seem to be getting warm, but are not drying as quickly as they use to.

Electric clothes dryer

The most likely cause is a bad timer. The timer determines how long the unit stays running (drying the clothes). A timer is typically $100-150.

Secondly, it could be a faulty motor. This part generally cost about $100-200 dollars.
