Fortron ATX 300GTF wanting 2 power the molex connector on this unit for an external disk drive not linked to a computer.cant get power without plugging in or modding the 20 pin power adaptor.

Most new power supplies can only be turned on via motherboard signal. That is why you have to plug in the 20/24 pin connector from PS to mo bo. When operating yellow wire is 12 volts and red is 5 volts DC. And black is ground.

My External HDD's adapter blow and i want to know if any 12v adapter will make it work?

Be careful, not all 12 Volt adaptors are the same. Some put out AC voltage and others DC. You need a 12 V DC adaptor. The adaptors are polralized, that is one output wire is + 12 V and the other is - 12V.. If you connect it backwards you can blow your hard drive.
If your not sure regarding correct polarity, consult a technician who knows how to use a voltmeter.
Also, the current rating of the replacement adaptor must be equal to or greater than the currenr rating of the original. Example: Old adaptor = 375 Ma. , New adaptor = 750 Ma. This would be OK.

Dln't have a plug for an mk928 keyboard

You would be safe with a 12 volt DC adapter of 1 amp capacity.

YOU MUST match the polarity and I can't find if the center pin is positive or negative. It SHOULD be marked on the case near the plug for the power in.
Use a bright light and see if the pin or the shell is shown as + or -
Notes this is the only critical thing to get right once you have a 12 volt DC adapter that fits the jack.

Need a new dc plug

DC = Direct Current such as a 12 volt battery, surely you mean AC (alternating current)?

AC power cords are available from any computer retailer like Future Shop or Best Buy.

Most devices are Negative to Earth, Chassis and Positive to the Center Pin on the "Adapter". So probably any 12 - 14 Volt say 4Amp well regulated, or Switch Mode power Supply probably would power your unit.. If you don't know the exact voltage Start at about 6 Volts and work up until it works correctly.. I often use a switchable power Supply to find the right voltage and then get a fixed supply to suit.
