The black wire is the HOT wire ... it should be connected to 120 volts AC .. the white wire should be connected to the neutral/return wire (also white) ... the incoming AC line shoiuld also include a bare ground wire .. that should be attached to a green grounding screw ... if your machine is already hooked up then there should not be any wires hanging down not connected .. you may be able to see the incoming wire but it should be covered by the dishwasher panels .. all connnections should be made inside a metal box that should be provided under the machine and there should be a strain relief fitting that keeps the wire from pulling out of the box .. ..

sounds like it is the thermal fuse, located on the main control board. it will have 2 wires connected to it,a black and a black w/white stripe, pull one wire loose and check for continuity. if it is open replace it. should work fine.

Where on dishwasher is power supply? like how do we connect to power?

You connect your incoming 120v supply to the black and white wires on your d/w. the black and white wires are located at the bottom of your d/w on the right hand side in a small box. You may need 1/4in nut driver to open the box and there you will find your white(neutral) and black(hot power) wires located
thanks.

Looking at outlet and if the round ground hole is on the bottom, the white wire comes from the left side and the black, the right. Reverse if ground hole is on top.

Center Sprayer Does Not Fully Recede when cycle ends

There may be some food or mineral build-up on it. Get some dishwasher cleaner and run the dishwasher empty per the instructions.
Or place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle - except for the cup of vinegar, the dishwasher needs to be empty.
The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor.

I have a roper dishwasher someone gave to me and it does not have anywhere to plug it in, no wires loose, and i dont see anywhere to plug anything into it.

Hi
Look at the bottom in front. There is a small metal cover usually with one hex headed screw holding it. Remove the screw and then the cover and there should be one white and one black wire in there. Feed your power supply through the hole in the back and use a romex connector, available at your hardware store to secure your power supply and wire nut the leads inside the box, very tight. Don't forget to put the ground on the Green screw.
