Question about Hoover Dryers
Hoover 5010D dryer suddnely died on me-stoped flat dead. I opened it up and traced with multimeter 240V powerIt appeared it stoped at the little plastic-metal box which looks like thermostatMy multimeter does not show continuity across this box. These thermostats are $80. SO do you think I need to replace it?Thanks
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
If it is a thermostat there is nothing wrong with jumpering the supply across to the out feed to make sure that the rest of the heating side is OK before you buy a new stat.
You only need to run the machine for a minute or so to acertain if it all works
