Question about Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Autofocus Lens
I need open this lens.
This lens opens from the rear. The trim ring inside the mount must be removed and the electronic connector separated from the mount by removing the 2 small screws at the mount edge. You can then remove the mount itself. The electronics board is the next item to remove. Make careful notes on the connections as the can get reversed easily. Not sure how far you need to get into this piece, but this will get you inside.

Need to open Lens?
1. Front Lens Cap- press the two side taps in and pull out.
Rear Lens Cap- twist and pull out.
2. Remove and Repair: Small Phillip Screwdrivers, gloves and mask.
From the rear, the electrical contacts- remove all those
screws. Some screws are locked with clue. Pinch black
plastic ring that is part of those contacts and gently remove out.
Don't brake the electrical contact ribbon cable.
Good lock.
