Question about Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Headset

The usb port is loose. that is why it wont work

My logitech headset used to work very well until one day, when I use it, it is no longer functioning. as in no nothing. i can't hear anything and i can't be heard as well.. then when i try to push the usb port harder, the red light was on but then it just went out so fast. .i tried to connect it using another pc but still the same.so i think the the usb port of my headset is the problem then. some loose wire or whatever. i want it to be fixed. so please help me. where will i bring to be repaired?

Okay, so i've tried to plug the headset into all usb ports and no sound will work, what the ***** going on yeah.


You need to download or install the drivers for the audio. Did the headset come with a CD? IF so install by using the CD. If not go to www.logitech.com and download the appropriate drivers for your headset. Can also go into system, hardware and install/search for driver. BTW do you get a message that new hardware has been installed when you plug in the USB plug to your USB port?

Hi, Please uninstall any logitech software present on your OS - Then please proceed to clean boot. ( http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=228 ) -> Unplug all the USB devices connected to the computer ( Less keyboard + mouse ) please use corded kbd+mouse if possible rather than a cordless device. -> Go to device manager -> Delete all the USB HOST CONTROLLER -- All of them -- -> The host controller might reinstall them itslef, let the computer handle the reinstallation -> If the computer does not reinstall the host controllers, trigger the detection using the DM function " Scan for new hardware " ( The computer with magnifier icon ) -> Once reinstalled, clean boot -> Reinstall the software, plug the hardware when needed. -> Should work.
This TB delete the usb ports " memory " means if a device as been previously flagged with error, it will redetect the device without the flag, unless there is some serious issue with the hardware/OS
If after this the issue persist, then I suggest you to call Logitech support to issue a replacement, hardware failures are covered by warranty terms

Logitech USB Gaming Headset only working out of one ear


I've had this happen twice with Logitech headsets and believe it has to do with the cheap/fine wire they use in the cables. I suspect that a good tug on the cable will snap the wire or some other internal connection.

Logitech headsets do not come with drivers. If this is a wireless headset, it could be that you are receiving interference from other wireless appliances. If you have a wireless phone, this could be the source of your interference. Researching the headset, it does run at a 2.4 Ghz, so make sure your wireless phone isn't on the same frequency, if you have one at all. Also, this is a bluetooth accessory, class 2, meaning you can't be more that 30 feet away from the usb adapter that's plugged into your computer. Also make sure that you don't have a ton of items plugged into your USB ports on you PC, as this can drain some of the power from the USB port and not supply the correct amount to your adapter. You could also try plugging in the usb adapter to a different USB port on your PC, just to make sure the port itself is not faulty. I hope some of this helps.

Micophone not working


unplug the headset then plug it toanother usb port.

check your audio settings in windows and make sure its unmuted.

if that doesnt help.
uninstall your usb ports then reboot and let them reinstall themselfs.

after that try again.

No sound from my Logitech headset when on SKYPE


Maybe you need to select which Audio device you are using within Skype. It the Settings under Audio you should be able to select the default audio device that Skype talks to. If you set it to the USB headset, it might work properly.
