If you have backed your phone up or done regular file-saves of your address book data, you could restore it.

I continually lose my address book. Is there any way to retrieve it or must I rebuild it every time?

You could appears just export your address book/contacts to a file and keep it on a flash drive if need be. That way, if it disappears again, you can just import your contacts from the file.

How do i transport the address book from old computer windows xp to new computer vista

The easiest way would be to identify the location and the file your Dymo printer uses to store its address. Copy the File to a USB memory stick, copy the File on the USB stick to your your new computer, and when you start up your Dymo printing utility open the copied file as your default address library.
The problem you may run into can be caused by different versions of the Dymo printing utility. You may be forced (using the Dymo printing utility) to export the address book on the XP computer and then import the address book on the Vista computer. The picture below outlines this procedure using Dymo printing utility v.8

Also, if you have created any custom label designs you will want to transfer them as well

What IC contains the contact list? Will not power up for retrieval after transplant to new case. Can contact list be retrieved?

The contact list is in your hard disk, not on a particular IC on the motherboard.
You can retrieve it by trasfering the harddrive to another computer or placing it in a USB external HDD box.
The contact list's file depends on the email program you are using to read and send emails. In case you are using Outlook Express, the folder C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER_NAME_HERE>\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book
contains the file.
Anyway, you check the wires from the power supply to the motherboard. You're missing some cable connection and that's why your computer cannot start. Check the long power connector with many colored wires, check the additional power "ATX" connector with 2 yellow and 2 black wires, check the thin 2-wire cable from the Power button to the appropriate pins on the motherboard. Also your power supply may be faulty and you can try to replace it with your old one from the old case.

Hey! follow the steps to get your job done

You can import address book contacts from other Microsoft Windows® Address Book files (.wab), as well as from Netscape Communicator, Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book, or any text (.csv) file.
For Windows Address Book 1.
On the File menu, point to Import, and then click Address Book.
2.
Select the address book or file type you want to import, and then click Open.

For All Other Address Book Formats 1.
On the File menu, point to Import, and then click Other Address Book.

Click the address book or file type you want to import, and then click Open.

If your address book is not listed, you can export it to either a text (.csv) file or a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) or Lightweight Directory Interchange Format (LDIF) file, and then import it using that file type.

Good luck :-)

Your Favorites are stored in Cocuments ans Settings folder under your name and in the Favorites folder.
Eg. C:\Documents and Sttings\"your name"\Favorites
