What does an ssm board for a philips 51pp9303h17

The ssm is very exspensive at least 250-350 but it sounds like you only need the convergence repair kit. You can get the DPTV305-DPTV345 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains the Cd with instructions.

I had the same problem. It is error code 61 which is a power supply fault. Had a bad LSB board (pn: 313926719011 from MCM Electronics) which blew out on of my CRT. If you have any observed arcing in your CRT's, they are bad and will need to be replaced. I went to Ebay and found a used compatible Philips brand to replaced the CRT. Do not isolate the high voltage lines of the bad CRT to troubleshoot with a bad LSB. The LSB will short out another CRT (it did on mine). I bought the service manual an learned the set does not tolerant of power line surges. If you fix it, invest is a good surge protector.

Comes in small and green, fills out after warm-up

The lasge signal board or "LSB" is going out. The problem comes from the power regulator not operating properly. The circuit board is no longer available as a new part, but tou can purchase a refubished one or send yours in to have it refurbished. Contact PTS corp at 1 800844 7871 and have your FULL model number. There are additional digits beyond the model number you have listed here.

deflection problem very common on that model. You can get a new LSB board at the following link, leave them a email and they will respond quickly with a price quote for the LSB if they dont have it listed already, they are cheaper than anywhere else for replacement boards for phillips, RCA and GE. Heres the link.

I have a 60 '' philips tv model # 60pp9363/h17

I have worked on dozens of the DPTVXXX models recently all with audio but no video. In every set the HVG was the problem.

If you are not sure how to find/repair/replace the HVG youself goto http://www.TvRepairKits.com to get their how to guide.

 Its an easy do-it-yourself fix.

Also, if you call in a repair tech - they will almost certainly want to sell you a new LSB board for $500.00+. The LSB board is where the HVG is located. Average cost for a replacement HVG is around 140.00 from vancebaldwin, partstore, etc.

that is usually related to the LSB large signal board will eventually need replacement. Most repair shops will not troubleshoot the LSB at component level, they will opt for replacing the entire circuit board. If you need more info or help to locate a LSB board. please let me know.
