Question about Logitech QuickCam Messenger Web Camera
I had the EXACT same problem and I went to the above link suggested by smilemaker, downloaded and installed it and my cam is up and running smoother than ever!!!!! And even has better features than before!!!!

If you need th original disk from your dead computer, you can straighten a paperclip and insert it in the pin hole on the face of the disk drive that has your disk stuck in it. You don't have to apply power to the dead PC. Gently push the clip in until it makes contact with the release button. The drive should partially open. Slowly pull the drive tray out and remove your disk.
