I have a 7300/7400 HP Office Jet printer....keeps giving false alarms on paper jam. I have done everything the book says. The print cartridges do not return to the right. I love this printer and

there are a few sensors in the paper circuit. if those sensors have some small pieces of paper you will continue to get this error. If you have serious mechanical skills you can try to disassemble the printer and clean every sensor. if not you should go to a specialized service center.

Canon MP210 Paper Jam

A common issue is moisture. As the relative humidity changes, the paper will absorb some of the excess moisture. (Ink jets don't get as hot as other printers; but they do have temperature changes during operation.)

Unfortunately, the only solution that I have ever found is to use paper from a just opened package. Try to keep only enough paper in the printer for a short duration of printing (1-2 weeks). Keep the rest of an open package of paper somewhere else where the temperature and humidity stays fairly constant.

I hope this helps.

Printer will not print...it jammed ......the paper jammed in the machine..and I pulled it out....

1. Inspect the paper trays to make sure they are not overloaded. To determine if this is the problem, do a test print with only one piece of paper loaded in the paper tray. (If this turns out to be the problem, keep the paper tray half-full in the future.)
2. Check that the type of paper being used falls within the printer manufacturer's recommendations. For example, paper designed for ink-jet printers doesn't necessarily work well in laser printers. High-quality, bonded paper will cause paper jams in some printers; look for bonded paper that is "laser and ink-jet compatible."
3. If someone has recently printed labels on this printer, check to see if a label has come unglued from a sheet and become stuck inside the printer.
4. Check the gears and rollers for stuck shreds of torn paper from previous jams. Turn off the printer before you attempt to remove the bits of paper.f you have a laser printermag-glass_10x10.gif, inspect the printer's paper rollers. They should be smooth but not shiny. Rollers that are cracked or glazed are a frequent cause of paper jams and should be replaced by a technician.
5. if you have a laser printer, try cleaning the printer's paper rollers with a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol (available atelectronics shops or drugstore.Try changing the toner or ink cartridge.

I try to print but the paper comes out blank, I just bought the cartridges today, but I really dont know what happenes.

If you've replaced the cartridges and still the printer comes out with blank paper, then what has happened, depending if it is an inkjet or bubble jet, is that the pump or heating element (in a inkjet it is a pump and in bubble jet the ink is heated up in the tank to produce bubbles of ink that transfer to the paper. When you do get a replacement, hold up a piece of paper printed from a bubble jet printer.

If the printer is not under warranty, then don't bother for the repair.

If it is a laser printer, what may have happened is the wire that charges to the drum in transferring the image to it is not working.

Hp laser jet 1320 stop printing

Try unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in. Check to make sure that there are no paper jams or foreign objects stuck in the rollers. Reseat the toner and make sure the lid is firmly closed.

Printer jams. gray foam released in paper path.

1: Remove Cartridge
2: Unplug the AC Power Cord
3: Hold down the RESUME button
4: Release RESUME after plugging in the AC Power cord.
5: Press the RESUME once within 5 seconds and release the RESUME .
6: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
7: Press and HOLD RESUME for two seconds or more and release it.
8: Unplug AC Power Cord to set data.
Try this I found it doing a search on your machine, that foam was called a blotter, and it should work without it, good luck
