Purchase an alkaline battery and replace with the old one, power up, wait for some time, select slideshow option, then back to camera view then power down..wait for 1 minute, power up again test your zooming results, if it is working well then all is OK......for more info. try to use a battery that is the same and use the same brand all the time for your camera......

LUMIX dmc tz11 won't switch on after being left in car for couple of months

The obvious of course is the battery, but if you left it in the car during summer months and it got hot as heck in the car the computer board maybe ruined. Those cameras are pretty sensitive you will need to take it in for diagnosis/repair at a shop

My camera lenes wont stay open

Usually the lens closing is a sign that the battery is dying. If there's not much power left for the camera, it will first close the lens so it's protected before powering down. Make sure you have fresh batteries, fully charged. If the battery is going bad it may not hold a charge for very long but appear to be charged when you first intall it.

R. Hearing aid has died for the 5th time. Purchased through HearX.

RIC instruments are quite delicate, the receivers often fail, however it is a quick fix to replace them. Have you tried a drying kit, a drying kit is essential to maintain RIC or RITE instruments particularly during the summer months. Go back, get the receivers changed and ask for a drying kit.

The lens won't open/close and it beeps three times instead

the camera was last on the batteries were either extremely low, or they died and lens could have been kinda off track a little when it happened so it got stuck that way….Put in new batteries and If you lay the camera flat facing up at you and you look down and lens looks a little crooked….Push it slightly in the direction it needs to go to get back on track and when you hear the pop noise it’s fixed. Then when you turn the camera on if it stays on attempt to zoom in and out and the lens will then get back on track…and then TUrn it off and the lens should go back in

Geo metro 1993 battery dies

most likely a light is staying on somewhere. Remove the light in your glove box, as the most likely culprit and see if the battery is good.

The screen is not going on ? its black and when i turn it on only the lens part goes on and when i turn it off its stays the same way ? so wat should i do ?

TIPS:
1.)NEVER PUSH THE LENS IN AFTER CAMERA DIES, BUY A NEW BATTERY IMMEDIATLY AND TURN IT BACK ON, CLOSING THE LENS!

2.)NEVER USE AN AC ADAPTER, USE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY OR A REGULAR BATTERY!

..to fix this...

Do as i say..

1.) Remove battery
2.) Remove front plate (screw driver may be needed)
3.) Check all gears, make sure they are correctly fitted in place)
4.) Move the gear manually to make the lens come out.
5.) keep it out, put the front plate back together.
6.) reinsert the battery, turn it on.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Wait about 6-8 hours.
3.) Reinsert the battery.

or...
1.) Remove the battery.
2.) Try hooking it up through AC adapter, put correct voltage.
3.) Try turning it on.
4.) Remove AC adapter, reinsert battery.
5.) Turn it on.
If nothing happens just tell me..

Hope this may help;

Adding WD-40

gears hang up alot or the lens was banged while out make the lens stay out.. a tiny motor that drives these gears might be bad,
might be a low battery, sometimes other errors make the camera just shut down with lens sticking out, I used baby oil once to free a sticking lense mech but only like 1/8 of a drop.
your problem doesnt sound good and i think you added more.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC S90 lens problem - fix or buy new?

I have this camera and it's been broken for a while, I got sand in the mechanism when I was on the beach. (Yes, quite dumb, I know).

I'm a completely a-technical guy, but without anything to lose I opened it up (4 screws, 1 of 'em next to the batteries).

Inside, I lifted the black hatch on the bottom left of the lens. (2 screws). There are 6 (white) cogs of different sizes underneath, which connect to the main (black) cog which extends the lens. Under the white cogs is the motor for the lens, but unless you get absolutely no buzzing or anything when turning the camera on (which would mean your motor is toast) you don't need to go there.

I made a schematic drawing before taking out all the little cogs and sprockets and whatnots. I cleaned them one by one with a needle and put them back using tweezers. I tested it by pushing the main (black) cog with the needle, clockwise, and pulling out the lens manually. It came all the way out, whereas before it didn't, so I closed it back up, and it was fixed!

Good luck.
