Hi,

Check the power rating and if the power ratings are okay. Then it means you'll have to change the power bud. Get a certified technician to do this as it can be tricky getting by.

What settings do my Samsung tv need to be on to link a digital cable box

The digital cable box will most likely connect via an HDMI connection. Simply ensure that the SOURCE selection for the set matches up to the HDMI port that the digital box is attached to. There is no need for any kind of channel scan when using this type of connection as the cable box acts as the digital tuner. If you are coming into the set on the coaxial cable line, then that is a different story. Ensure that the digital cable box is turned on, then do a channel scan to locate the channel that the cable box is using to send the signal.

My vizio is blinking back and forth from the blue no signal screen to the actual hdmi input screen which is connected to a cable box. What is going on?

Have you tried a different HDMI input? (If available.) You may be able to test the cable box of PS4 using component cables to confirm that all but the HDMI is not working. You may try pushing or holding the HDMI cables to see if you can make the problem better or worse to identify a possible flakey HDMI socket.

No signal on tv

Your Samsung has an Input Source button on the remote. If you are getting a "No Signal" message, you either have no cable, dish, antenna, or HDMI input to the television or have the wrong source selected. With the television turned on and/or a cable box, dish etc turned on, select all of your sources until a picture appears.

I get no picture when I connect the set box HDMI cable to the TV

The default connection is usually HDMI 1. The possibility of the cable being defective, or the box sending a signal out need to be determined.

Set up your connections, then turn on your TV.

Try using different HDMI hookups.

Bring a different video source to get the TV to display.

See if you can bring up the TV menu to select an input to connect to.

I have a sharp tv with a cable box and i lose signal, like the tv is restarting itself. started when i got the tv. tried hdmi and component cables and switched tv providers and still does it... any ideas?...

This is the best solution for your problem as a 40 year experience with wires etc. Go to the source of your cable signal connector . Open it and clean the terminals with emery paper , sand the end of the cable shiny clean from corrosion , get a new barrel connectors with gold terminals if possible lengthen the ends of the cable , insert and tighten good, use thick rg-16 or rg 40 cable with good insulation ends crimped professionally with a crimpier or buy ready made , not from dollar store. Get a gold plated professional splitter if you need one or two , it will cost about 15 or more each . Make the cable runs as short as possible, using the thick good cables. If needed get a signal magnifier. From radio shack or the source etc. Connect them good and tight . Ground the splitters . Problem solved , you will get crystal clear channel 2 to 7 including 3 and 4 . Isolate the TV cable from other cables and power wires. Vitally

Mitsubishi rear projection TV , Model VS-45603.In the last year it started to turn off by itself. It has no real pattern. It can turn off 2-3 times one day and none the next day. It is hooked up with...

What kind of cable are you using to connect it with (coax, HDMI, RCA (composite), component, s-video)?
This may be a grounding problem. Either the cable from the satellite dish is grounded to something with a little electricity running through it or you may have a hot ground in your electrical outlet. Or the cable may be on a different ground than your electrical outlet and by connecting the two it has created a slight electrical current. You can try using a plug adaptor to remove your receiver from the electrical outlet ground. These adaptors are meant for older homes and electrical outlets that do not have a third hole or ground plug. The outer metal part of all video connectors is the ground and this may be causing the tv to act strangely.

I hope this works.
