When you reboot the machine, keep pressing F8. this should give you a menu to boot into safe mode. when in safe mode you should have an option on the charms bar on the right to refresh your pc which will restore it to previous settings without losing your data.

sounds like the bios battery is dead , it looks like a watch battery and may be soldered to the motherboard. I would trash it and get something newer. any new android phone or tablet would be better.I would suggest the 7 inch fire tablet for $50

My computer keeps showing HP screen and f10,f11,f9 and wont let me do anything

During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
or
During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer
hope this helps

Model is Satellite A135-S4727. Boots up in safe mode, but black screen when I try to do anything from there. I removed the battery and went to ac. Screen when booting works and I see the that it is...

when it goes to the black screen give it a few seconds after the mouse shows up. Ctrl+Alt+Del and select task manager, then select the process tab. click on explorer, then right click on it and select end process from the pop up menu. once it has disappeared go back to the first tab programs. click new task, type explorer and hit enter. see where it gets you from there. if that doesnt help please recover your computer per manufacture instructions.

On start up screen goes to dos and says "you need to restart you

you have a mac with a program called boot camp. What you need to do is to hold the option key down once you restart it. Keep holding it down until you get to a screen that shows two hard drives on it, one says mac and the other says windows. Use the mouse or arrow keys to choose the mac icon and then hit enter. and yes, you will have to do this everytime you reboot.
