A limit is a protection device designed to shut the flames down when a temperature has been exceeded for whatever reason. This is applicable where HVAC are used. In hot weather the thermostat setting is to cool, so it does not have anything to do with heating. When you switcht over to heating option the furnace lights up and the hot air is forced to circulate the air a BLOWER is used. Thus the limit switch is located near the blower assembly gets electrically activated. The limit switch is generally used very little since one does not have to set it everyday. Look near the FAN/BLOWER assebly for the limit switch It ts a knob with heat cliberation readings in Fahrenheit or Celsius or both for sitting the pointer at the desired temperature...........sodeep

Furnace blowing cold air after replacing limit switch

Limit switches are safeties and require a manual reset. They are also a Normally Closed contact. A hi temp. thermostat operates on its own. If you are sure it is a limit, find the red little button and listen for it to click. Sometimes they push pretty hard.

Have a gmp125-4 furance blower runs all the time checked themostat wires error code 1 blink then 2 then 3 then 5 furance works if you turn power off turn back on when heat kickes off blower comes on gives...

Sounds like limit switch issue. Furnace heats up, high temp limit switch opens, fan will stay on. GMP model is older and do not have the codes.
May be over fired, have airflow problem, to cause the limit to open.
Next time before shutting off power, try to find the limit, it has two wires that connect to a 1.5 x 2 inch card mount to the furnace fire wall. tap on it and see if the blower stops. If so replace the limit.

Hi, I have Starling QVX heater. The air flow space where the limit switch is located heats up to around 210 Degrees after the furnace runs for awhile then the switch cuts off the gas and the fan...

The should be a temp stamped right on the limit switch telling you it's limit. It is very possible it is going bad. I know they make adjustable limits but would not go too much higher than what is in there now. Good Luck!!

Door comes down and goes right back up. then the lite blinks 4 times with a click noise. the safety eyes also are not on

It sounds like you need to adjust your down limit switch and/or perhaps your motor force settings. If the limit switch is not in the sweet spot along the rail it can be triggering too soon or not in time. In your case it could be too far down the rail and thus not stopping/slowing the motor in time. Your door is then being pushed against the floor too hard. Your safety/return force is goes way over limit and tells the opener to go back. While closing your door look at your rail and if its bending when the door hits the ground, this is definitely happening. After finding the sweet spot for your down limit switch, you can readjust your return/safety force per your opener manual.

I would suspect a water circulation problem, most likely air in the system, if the water can't flow it will overheat.

If the problem persists after bleeding check to make sure the pump is running

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Keeps stalling, engine

P0505 means the whole Idle Control system, not only the IAM. Check all related sensors (i.e. crankshaft sensor). Check with a voltmeter direct at the connector of the IAM if you get any signal. Remove the IAM from the TB, connect him, let someone switch your ignition key to ON. The IAM need to drive in/out for a short time to find the right position. Hold the IAM near a hard part, that they cant drive out completely! If IAM works fine, check the fuel pressure, check and clean your TB ( if not done yet). If that doesn't work, come back again please

Win xp sharing connecion

For Windows XP Professional, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is ten. This limit includes all transports and resource sharing protocols combined. For Windows XP Home Edition, the maximum number of other computers that are permitted to simultaneously connect over the network is five. This limit is the number of simultaneous sessions from other computers the system is permitted to host. This limit does not apply to the use of administrative tools that attach from a remote computer.
